I watched both the McGinest and Harrison episodes back to back tonight.

1. They both belong in Canton.
2. Holy crap the hits they gave out that today would get flags all day long.
3. They both talked a lot of smack especially Rodney.
4. I love how emotional they both still get.
5. The Carroll story was awesome.

Back to Canton. Dawkins getting in this year was more disrespect to the Patriots. Law was a better player than Dawkins and Rodney was a better safety. That's not my being a homer. Look it up. Rodney's number are way better in the regular season never mind the post. Willie doesn't have the greatest numbers in the regular season because he missed a lot of time when he was younger. Couple that with voters only caring about sacks at that position when he was a complete player against the run and able to cover and he's not getting a fair shake. Rodney, Willie and Ty made so many more impact plays in big cames compared to Dawkins. It's pure BS.

6. I hate that Ladainian Tomlinson and I agree about something. (Rodney HOF)

Interesting story about how Willie awed the locker room and became the unofficial "sergeant at arms" after he handled a defensive lineman who swung at Willie after Willie caught him cheating at cards. Anyone know who swung at Willie and regretted it? I was thinking maybe Seymour. That would be epic and awe anybody.

Yes, intimidation was just as important as any other tool on the defensive side. Balance of power has shifted to the offense....

Probably a good thing for the game. I doubt Brady would still be playing in his 40's with no end in sight if he wasn't being protected by the new rules....

When discussing the Pat's oline and the various players throughout the years, Heath Evans said he avoided doing anything to piss off Stephen Neal. He said he was big teddy bear but he had a crazy-fight-to-the-death side to him. Willie said something like, "You better be ready if you are going at that dude."

He belongs in Canton!
One thing about Willie and that Pat's defense of 2003-04 seasons. They were such an unselfish group (and dominating group). They didn't have an LT who sacked the QB 10-15 times a year, they were a collective group with different heroes every week. Despite not being JUST a pass rush specialist, and being great against the run too (great at setting the edge), Willie had 86 career sacks. IF Willie JUST concentrated on getting the QB, I'm sure he'd have easily had over 100 sacks, he was THAT talented.

It's too bad that this series, as well as other NFL Films products, aren't considered for Oscars. They ought to be.

Agreed. Even those of us who hate NFL the organisation will agree that NFL Films is a class unto itself.
