Video: Randy Moss is the Greatest Patriots Salesman

Greatness appreciates greatness. That's the reason Randy will always be a Patriot at heart, and NE is only too glad to have him as an alumnus.

We see the same story repeated over and over again. Great players, be it they started their career here and moved on, or came here from elsewhere...always end up building a special everlasting relationship with the Patriots.

Just show this damn video to every NFL FA.

Probably the best salesman for the franchise.

Video:
Catching up with Moss

The most heartfelt moment of that clip was Belichick walking up and interrupting the interview ...just to say hi to Moss...and Moss suddenly needing to cut the interview short to catch up with "coach"

manly tears are falling from my cheeks as I write this

If my house was on fire I die trying to get my autographed rookie jersey from him.

07 didnt end up how we wanted obviously. But there's not 2-3 Patriot moments that make me happier then when he out ran half the jets defense for his 1st TD as a Pat. After everything he went through in Minnesota and Oakland. He came here and was the biggest reason for that offensive juggernaut.

I couldn't help be touched by a tweet I saw the other day after the Pats win. It was from the WR on the PS (Lorien or something).

This guy?

The one thing that will always stick out to me about Randy is that even though he doesn't like to go over the middle a lot, I remember him more than once, taking the shots over the middle when the Patriots needed a big play and nothing else was working. We all know what he can do on the outside but I think Randy wanted to belong more than he wanted to stand out and even though he had a self-destructive streak, he's an intelligent and reflective person who realizes that he had something special here.

Belichick is honest with everyone. He actually does what's best for the team. Not just Moss, but Seymour and McGinest, and apparently Milloy, have come back because they realize this. If your performance, age or salary aren't contributing to the best team, he will let you go and it's not personal.

I think the fact you see some many players who were Patriots just part of their career consider themselves Patriots after football is a very telling and underrated factor.
This amazes me too about the Pats. BB and Kraft (despite my beefs with him over recent events) engender such loyalty and good feelings in players that even when things end badly, players eventually return to the fold. Not only Moss, but Drew Bledsoe, Lawyer Milloy, Ty Law, to name a few. All left under what was probably hurtful circumstances for each of them, but they all eventually came back to enjoy their status as Pats vets.

I am so happy for Randy Moss that he has matured into a positive, successful guy. When he left here it looked like his life could go in a different direction, but he got his head on straight and has transitioned nicely into a new career. A lasting impression of him that I have is from his first game as a Patriot. He hadn't practiced much during the preseason because of a back injury and I don't think he even played in any preseason games. It was a surprise that he started the first game, and then he came out and just LIT UP the NY Jets. It was awesome!
