I will tell you from my own neighborhood's two separate SB parties, if you are not a Patriots fan then it appears the rest are watching the SB for the explicit reason to see the Patriots lose (no Falcons' fans in my Tampa neighborhood - 4 Patriot fans). It's the understandable Yankees syndrome ("the Patriots win again? Urgh I hate them").

Pats are polar opposite from the "great" Yankees teams.

With no cap and a huge financial advantage the Yankees essentially bought their championships.

In a league with a cap, where the Pats could not only NOT buy a championship, they had a corrupt league conspire to take valuable assets AWAY from the Pats, giving the rest of the league a competitive advantage over them, yet the Pats dominated by being smarter and outworking their competition.

No other dynasty will ever match what the Pats have done.
