Philly fans are real tough....as long as they outnumber other fans.

My brother was also in Jax for Eagles-Pats. The night before the game he and his buddy were walking down the street and bumped into a group of about 8 Eagles fans. Eagles fans surrounded them, started talking trash and getting in their face. But another group of Pats fans showed up and when the the Eagles fans saw that the numbers were even they practically shat themselves and took off running
Was in a bar down at the beach area the night before the SB. Place was packed there were 3 and 4 deep around the bar and the bartenders were getting so pissed off at the eagles fans they started pointing to Pats fans who were behind the Eagles fans and started waiting on them. Close to the end of the night I got a chance to talk to one of the bartenders and he said he never met a bunch of dbags like Eagles fans in his life.

I'm not surprised. The Boston radio guys all week have said they see NO Falcon fans around the city at all. It's as if they don't exist.
That's because they don't. I was in ATL for the weekend a few years back, a season when they were good, and they were playing the Packers (if memory serves), and I saw FAR more GB fans than ATL. I went to the Hard Rock and almost every screen was playing the game, yet our table was one of maybe three that showed any interest whatsoever.

I grew up in MY and have also lived in MIA, FL and I never saw such sports apathy. I'm still in MIA and people root for the Dolphins every single season no matter what. What I saw in ATL that day was just so awkward. I've never seen the same thing anywhere since, even in Jacksonville. I'll be paying close attention to Jersey sale numbers should they win (obviously hoping I won't have to follow through for even more obvious reasons).

Lol, I was probably in the other group - this was happening everywhere.

If you had Pats gear, you didn't walk alone.

Same. Jax was the only SB ive been lucky enough to go to. Eagles fans down there were by far the worst ive ever experienced anywhere.

Im not a small guy, and I can handle myself pretty well (especially back when I was 25), and I didnt feel comfortable separated from our group while wearing my Pats gear. They were down there looking for fights anywhere they'd go. Even the fat middle aged guys, drunk off their ass.

Shockingly, they seemed to cool off completely after they lost the game, which always seemed odd to me given how rowdy they were when they still had the hope of winning.
