Super Bowl 2018: Tom Brady has a chance to break an incredible 51-year QB curse
Tom Brady led the NFL with 4,577 passing yards this season

No player to lead the NFL in pass yards has ever won the Super Bowl in that season (0-5 record)

oh well, it's time for brady to break that curse...

This curse. The MVP curse. The Madden curse. All three will be blamed if they lose.

Hopefully, Tom and Alex are sacrificing chickens as we speak.

MVP curse really ain't curse though. warner did win the mvp and the sb.

i was very calm and cool about this SB until i read about this. lol

Finally my big chance to use this popular gif!

latest

Oh and I hope TB *is* cursed - loudly, by all haters all night :D

Tom brady is also the ONLY qb with a winning record when throwing 50 times in a game.

Ya but passing leaders have only gotten to the SB 5 times before, Brady is the 6th. So it's not like they are like 0-25 in the SB or something. It's a stat along the lines of "Brady is 3-0 vs bird teams in the SB"

Not like
Teams that were down 18+ points in the playoffs after 3 quarters were 0-107 now after SB51 they are 1-107

Teams playing Belichick and Brady for the first time that season are 0-15 in the playoffs

Warner did that 18 years ago, and no one has done it since, which is mildly surprising.

Like @Froob said though...no QB has won 6 Super Bowls either.

No other QB has won as many playoff games passing over 35 times a game as TB12. I think that star is amazing, Brady is the only QB you consistently can't makeone dimensional. No running game, no all star tight end, top receiver lost for the year, no problem.

The "Never has" is my pet peeve in sports. I rarely look at history when two teams face off as it doesn't matter. Soon, the "never has" will be replace with the "only time" and the quote will lose it's luster for some.

These “curses” are correlations not causations, so they are meaningless.

I guess Manning led the league in passing yards many times.

As the saying goes: "there's a first for everything in life..."
