Ugh, are the mods going to be moving ALL threads into one "official" thread again?

There's topics on the front page I'm interested in reading then next thing I know they're all thrown into one big ass "official postgame" thread on this board's new slow/clunky theme.

Sigh. I used to love coming here but the new layout is awful (the old one was much better) and this over-moderation is quite annoying.

I'm with you. This simply reduces discussion of individual issues. I guess we'll need to wait a few days to discuss the OL, the DL and so forth.

Need to change this, Ian. Not a good approach. If everyone just talked football it would be one thing. But so often it's 2 guys arguing with each other post after post, and before at least you could jump to another thread. Not to mention that there are so many different topics to discuss, nobody wants to wade through hundreds of posts to find something they're interested in.

The only time it makes sense to have 1 controlled thread is the game itself.

I wasn't here at the time, but looking at what threads were merged I'm not sure what the issue is.

There were three new threads about the offensive line. Currently we have another thread on the OL, Best Offensive Line Combination. If anything, those threads should have been moved there rather than the game thread.

There was a thread titled How Spoiled You Are. Not really sure if that deserves its own thread; probably better off in the Game Thread. With a title like that, you know it's going to be nothing but a pissing match between the homers and the chicken littles.

Another thread was titled Amendola, official bust? Considering the long history of threads centered around Amendola, you know that would not really be worth reading either; because of that, it was not merged, but moved to the Practice Squad.

Last thread that was merged was titled This defensive scheme... Personally, I feel any thread with an ambiguous cliffhanger title deserves to go away. That being said, if you or someone else want to start a thread about the defensive line or defensive front seven or defensive scheme and game plan, then please feel free to do so; those are topics worth discussing. For the record, it was merged into The agitated post-game thread, not the Official Game Thread.

One other thread, Site Need Suggestion, was about a chat room for people to post their thoughts during the game. Ian answered the question, and the thread was appropriately moved to the Help Desk Forum.

It's also worth noting that there are nine new threads that have been started since the game ended, so it is not at all accurate to say that 'all new threads are being merged into the one official thread'.

I can understand merging them eventually, but give them a day. Unless someone makes Dozens of threads, I don't see the game in 3-5 different versions of something.

Agreed that this forum is WAYYYYYYY over-moderated. Wish Ian would reevaluate the objectivity of the current moderators. Especially with Brady's career winding down.
