Tyquan Thornton thanks us for all the hate and doubt

Nothing new here.......it's a common thing that happens in the NFL. One situation may not be ideal for a guy, and then has success when he finds a better situation. And it's not uncommon for them to use the 'negativity' to fuel their fire. I've heard veterans still talk about teams that passed them up in the draft. Most pro athletes are type A personalities. I get it. THey use it drive them.
Hell, even us type B's don't let go of grudges sometimes. I have people I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire, friends from since 3rd grade - but once you feel you've been burned, tough to let that flame go either..

Totally understandable for players to use that as fuel, and for TT to feel he got shafted by NE given the various situations during his time here.

I can only speak for myself but I never hated Tyquan Thornton. I was just disappointed by his play, and as Vito Corleone said "good luck to you as best as your interests don't conflict with my interests."

I don't get hating players who didn't pan out here, like the group that just loathes Mac Jones like he murdered their puppy or something. Now players who whine their way out of Foxboro, go to a hated rival or talk **** when they leave THEM I understand hating.

I rarely hate players who flame out here. If are just not good enough, it isn't their fault the Patriots acquired them. If they had attitude issues or were a headcase or something like that, then ya. But there was never any negative information about Thornton.

Hell, I would be happy for the guy if he turned his career around as long as it didn't hurt the Pats. I just don't see it happening especially with Rashee Rice coming off suspension today. I wouldn't be shocked if Thornton was cut or traded in the next few weeks because of it.

So our former “One Catch Wonder” is now averaging 2.2 catches per game this season. Good for him! Can’t wait to see what Polk “Best Hands in the League” does for the Saints next year. In the meantime, “Maye to Boutte” works for me!

Yup. Not his fault (or N’keal Harry’s for that matter) that Bill drafted him where he did. That’s on Bill not Thornton. And the Mac Jones pick was fine when it was made.

Unless the Pats are playing them, I don't root against former Patriots players aside from maybe N'Keal Harry. I don't give a **** about that guy. His attitude was so poor in NE and many didn't realize how unmotivated he was. He flat out told a reporter he felt zero pressure as a 1st round draft pick going into his 2nd or 3rd season. It's mind boggling what he told Bill during his interview as opposed to the others like AJ Brown. Then you have his draft day goof repeatedly hanging up on BB and his beach video's calling himself a "****ing animal".

Boney T has been good in spots, but he's not going to be mistaken for the next Randy Moss.

Tyquan with another goose egg.

Thats 1 catch in the last 3 games.

It was a given that when Rice came back that Thornton would be phased out of the Chiefs' offense. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs trade for another WR and Thornton is cut.

Rice and Worthy coming back pushed him down the depth chart and just like that the Chiefs are back.

We should've learned our lesson in 2006 that stats can be misleading. Reche Caldwell had his best season in NE, but it was clear as day he wasn't very good and the Pats needed an upgrade at WR. He was kicked to the curb after the season.

Just because a player collects some stats, doesn't mean they are any good. Thornton was in the lineup by default due to injuries/suspension.

Who is this Tyquan Thornton? Does he play in the NFL?
He's an all pro receiver who Belichick drafted so he's awesome yay Bill go Bill go <3 <3 <3 look at that long TD streak wow!

Apparently.

And kc in the last 3 weeks has been playing their best football in a LONG time now that theyre not depending on him as one of their top targets. I wish the guy all the best in making a career but That tweet continues to look dumb

Thornton is basically just MVS but built like a toothpick

A big part of his recent success is Mahomes and the KC OL.
He almost certainly would not have this success with current Pats team.

BUT was surprised they gave up on him and his 4.28 speed so soon. Another great Elliott Wolf/Mayo move.

Hey Sam, who said this?

I wonder if Thornton will ever have 195 yards….in a season?

There are many more posts where you trash Thornton, but like Patsfan2 you try to rewrite history by acting like you always liked him, or always hated him, depending on the situation.

Tyquan Thornton... the most recent example of my personal maxim.... don't look for the physical wow guys in college. Find the ones who get it done with constant effort and development of knowledge.

i reception in the last 3 weeks.....5 total since this post came out?
