Please help me finish the beloved poem 'Twas a night before Christmas....' done NFL / or Patriots style. I have writers block!

'Twas the night before draft day......

and all through his house, everyone was partying,
plus even Janoris Jenkins spouse.

The name tags were hung in the war rooms with care,
in hopes that a blue chipper - would still be right there.

Suddenly at once, the draft phones rang - such a clatter,
that they even woke 'dead Al's ghost, as if that could matter.

A trade down was offered, plus a player to boot,
but wise trader Bill, just sat there quite moot.

..............................

...............................

....(as many lines as you need - I would like if you could use the ending):

Patience to all, and remember, there's round two.

He found himself to be distracted by the Bruins versus Caps in a Game 7,
"I really hope the Bruins win before any overtime and I'm in bed by 11."

"What! 2 in round one and 2 in round two,
Something is wrong here, somebody sue!"

"I don't know how, but I tell you it's true,
It's the same every year, the Pats with a slew.
There's only one answer, they've got to be cheating."
The dopes at ESPN were gleefully bleating,
"Let's call it Draftgate and blame BB and crew,
Call up Goodell and start the procedings anew."

On laywers!
On senators!
On fans with a grudge!

"Kiss our asses goodnight,"
Said Kraft with a nudge.

"And to all a good draft."
Said Bill with a wink,
"We'll be better next year,
While the rest of you stink."

Some people have WAAAAYYYYYY too much time on their hands ;)

Wow, I'm impressed. This was actually pretty good.

Pretty cool. Though I can't imagine BB will be very "moot." ;)

Copenhagen ... AWESOME city.

Congrads Frezo! Awesome post. Think this will be a short thread as I doubt no one will top that........

As time is running short before the draft -here is our combined work (though my first part pales to your second part). Cheers from Copenhagen :)

Here's one of MY favorite draft day carols....

Wrecksie the fat slob Rat coach

ate a little too much toe

and if you ever saw him

you would run for Idaho

All of the other Rat fans

used to laugh and call him fat

They never let poor Wrecksie

eat his favorite pork fried rat

Then one foggy Draft Day Eve

Satan came to say:

"Wrecksie with your gut so large,

won't you guide my hellbound barge?"

Then all the Rat fans loved him

as they shouted out with glee,

Wrecksie the fat slob Rat coach,

you'll go down in infamy!
