TreVeyon Henderson = Curtis

Nor should he. Obv the hope is they can limit his touches with Ram/Gib being effective, while still having Hendo’s limited touches be incredibly productive. That’s the hope and plan. But you know what they say, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

The Sanders comp was low hanging fruit. We can use Jamal Charles and Chris Johnson if you prefer.

CJ2K was 197 lbs at the combine. Go look at his stats, he had several years with very high carries.

Double, I only said Sanders shouldn’t be a comparison because there’s only one Barry Sanders, at least in my experience. And it’s hard to guage the wear and tear on Sanders because he usually made the first five guys miss, and defenders rarely hit him squarely. But I also realize that size isn’t the only factor in durability, and Henderson punches above his weight class, often hitting the defender harder than they hit him.

And he can pass block on an elite level. Curtis wasn't like that. But I may be wrong.
Pro football Hall of Fame braa.. This boy was bad! Curtis did it all..Catch, run, block at elite levels. Treat Henderson the same way if Curtis was here, your HOF back i invision, use em.

Very excited to see Treyveon this year.
But he's not getting 15 carries a game,lol. That's ridiculous.
Yes,I believe he'll be the best all-around rb on the Pats. And he could average the most touches per game since he'll be a major factor catching the ball.
Kid is electric. And no doubt he'll have a game or 2 with 15 carries. But not on a consistent basis.
Because of his pass-catching ability and great blocking, he will probably be in for the most snaps of the rbs.
But you don't wanna kill this kid. He's not a big dude.
Josh knows how to use him. There'll be times with both Henderson and Rham on the field and the threat of Treyveon's speed will help help Stevenson to be an even better rusher. Plus, we know Campbell is an absolute beast in the run game so we'll see a healthy dose of Rham steamrolling defenses.
All this **** is gonna really help Drake in the passing game.
I haven't been this excited for a season since 2019. A long drought for us so used to seeing great winning football.
There'll be some growing pains this year but we're gonna see MAJOR improvement.
Let's Goooooooooooo!

So Raiders are starting Jentry...lol I wonder why?

Look up Gibbs usage in Detroit. Thats what he will be doing. He will get a drive here and there.

Jeanty is 11 pounds heavier and 2 inches shorter, more compact. Sounds trivial, but taller is skinnier.

Henderson is also a home run hitter as a change of pace back. You want him fresh and not beat down, that’s what Rhamondre is for. Rham tenderizes the opposing defense, Henderson comes in and skewers them.

Gibbs rookie year. 182 carrries 52 catches. Seems about right.

Yes, Jahmyr Gibbs is expected to start and will be a primary starter for the Detroit Lions in their 2025 season, as he is considered RB1 and is being used more in the passing game, sometimes even lining up outside the backfield. He is a dynamic playmaker for the team and has proven to be an elite player at his position.

Why not us? We got a real playmaker here now right?

Who knows? Kid hasn't even played 1 game at this level.
Curtis is a big look-see, dude was awesome...AT THIS LEVEL.

We can only compare what we know.
Henderson is coming in with much more hype.
Curtis missed most his last year at college so was a bit of an afterthought in the draft, going in the 3rd round.
Back then it wasn’t like it is now with readily available media content and camp/preseason coverage, so again Martin was a relative unknown.
Then the first game I saw him play……..whoa, I was like who the **** is this dude, kids got IT.
When Henderson took that outside carry to the left side in preseason I was watching the play develop thinking “oh, we have a nice 5ish yard gain here”, then he exploded for 18, and right then and there I was like…whoa, we haven’t a back do that since Curtis.
I think he has IT.

We've got three good RB's assuming Rhamondre and Gibson are holding onto the ball.

There's a tool for every job. Power back to pound defensive lines into submission, speed backs to make them pay when they're tired or have mental lapses.

Henderson is a hell of a pass blocker, which means he can play a lot.... he's just better in tandem with another bigger back. Fresh legs, one cut burst and speed to take it to the house. There are very few every down backs like Saquon Barkley who possess it all.
