The TE class looks deep this year; last Draft Cleveland and San Diego hit on Day 3 TE's: O Gadsden II and H Fannin Jr. We need to find ours next year.
The Pats seem to pass up decent to good TE classes every year. There have been stud TE’s they’ve passed up in rounds 3 and later for the last 10 years. And it seems like it doesn’t matter who’s in charge of the draft. I’ve been begging them to draft talented pass catching TE’s since Gronk was still around, and they never did except that one year they drafted 2 in a weak TE class, and I knew they were the wrong ones the second they drafted them.

Hopefully this year they grab one or more.

That's a sign if there was ever one.

He may well break that record. And when you look at the list of RB's who did it during their careers he is in the company of Hall of Famers like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders.
Lets hope. Love that weve got so many young guys doing all time great things. Its been fun to watch.

A 2nd rounder succeeding brings a tear to my eye.

Even though it was the same set of players in both halves, I am sure that personnel and game situations contributed to the lack of running plays in the second half. Historically it is almost as if JMD looks for any excuse to stop running the ball and put everything on the pass which makes it difficult to protect the lead and allow the defense to get its breath when things start to unravel.
In his defense most offensive philosophies revolve around using the run to set up the pass. The goal is to create big plays in the passing game. I think his mistake was he felt the running in the first half set up the passing game and he could exploit that in the second half.
There just needs to be an awareness when the defense stops worrying about the run because you’ve abandoned it.
I think it was a sound idea, he just didn’t pivot off it fast enough.

I think one thing I’m noticing is as he gets experience, he’s improving his cutback game. The 65 yard TD run was designed to go to the right, it got bunched up, he cut back to the left and found daylight. I feel earlier in the season, he would’ve stayed to the right and tried to get whatever he could get to the right, possibly 1 or 2 yards.

Laurence Maroney would've continued into the pile. Remember those days?

TBF Henderson ran into one of the linemen; he's just so fast that he was able to bounce off and change direction before the Bills could get to him.

It's interesting that Maroney timed about the same as Henderson, but it's clear that Henderson has way more game speed than Maroney. Maroney played slow.

He is on the smaller side, and he has a history of running down when overused, including in college. He does have enough inside running chops to play on early downs, but I would hope they would platoon him with a beefier back to preserve his quicks and keep him healthy. My point, really, does not so much bear upon his limitations, which can be accommodated, as it does on Rhamondre's inadequacy in the role to which his physique would suggest he is suited. I guess I would invite you to look at his numbers over the last two or three years. He's just not that good. Henderson is fine - I am glad we have him - Rhamondre isn't even adequate. What are your thoughts on Rhamondre? I don't really think we have much disagreement on Henderson.
well rham was good thats why they gave him contract

Not as a rookie.
I think maroneys issue was that he wasn’t committed to being a professional and building upon the physical tools and skills he came with.
Most RBs are still gaining stength, speed and agility when they get to the league

I remember those days. But I think you’re wrong, Dancing Elmo would’ve been dancing around looking for a way through the pile until he was tackled in the backfield.

And Lenny Moore. And Adrian Peterson is a mortal lock. Only Fragile Freddy is going to miss out, and that's just barely, he's right there.

He was indeed, for a time, prior to the contract, but not for some time since. I think that's a fair characterization.
Guess thats why he’s a 4th rounder

Well they gave him the contract because he was willing to stay here, and they way overpaid like they did for everyone else in that offseason.
