Nothings being stolen it must be earned either Chism beats out Hollins or he doesn't. I haven't been very high on either but thus far from my eyes Hollins is slightly ahead of Chism. I suppose upside should play a part in the decision but there's still time too for either to take a stronger hold or for neither to and Polk or Baker could claim it. Or any combination.

Do they play similar WR roles? I thought Chism is basically a slot and Hollins is an X.

It's part of the equation but as neither are really starters you can fill the depth at X,Y, and Z in many ways. And as many teams only carry 5 (especially on the active GameDay) your depth needs to be able to fill more than one.

Agreed; too bad unfortunately, because the dude really ****ing Sucks and is Stealing snaps from younger, more deserving candidates, ie: the Chism Trail.

Baker deserves those snaps
Since TC started Chism has not been as impressive as he was than in team drills
I always thought Baker had a pea brain but he is playing well

Too fkn dumb to get the PB last year, and he's been talking/doing dumb **** since he got here
How many TAUNTING calls is he going to get?
I think he had 1 the other day.
I think he's really immature from everything I've read....(I could be wrong)... he's not the 1st hotshot to be like that.

He does seem immature, no doubting that. But the whole operation was such a ****show last year. No accountability, finger pointing, no leadership from the coaching staff. It was truly mind numbing how bad the supposed leadership and coaching was last year. One would think Vrabs and staff will not allow that to happen. Sure Baker will still have his moments, but I think he's going to be held to much higher standard of accountability this year if he makes the team.

Let's give him a chance under the new regime, you know an actual competent coaching staff. Vrabs has already stated everyone gets a clean slate, and last year is irrelevant.

Chris Carter was a punk coming out of OSU, and as a rook with Philly. Took him some time to straighten out, he turned out to be pretty decent.

He also wasn’t a choirboy previously at Alabama before his transfer to UCF.

However, there have been other young talented receivers with maturity issues that have managed to eventually have the light come on and get it together sufficiently to have successful NFL careers, e.g., Terrell Owens, Antonio Brown (before his complete meltdown), etc. Hopefully the light will come on fully for Baker too.

I’m thinking he must’ve changed his posse. A year running with Bourne instead of his college bros. Or maybe having Diggs has given him a better role model. Not perfect but an improvement. Diggs obviously is focused and a very hard worker, as shown by his ACL rehab success. Or maybe he had a come to Jesus meeting with Vrabes. Whatever it was, something changed or he’d be doing the same old schtick.
