Anyone hear if any draftee players were identified as a victim of today's tragedy at Virginia Tech U?

I did not get a full info about the shooting and exactly where it happened or what happened and motive but hear 33 were shot dead today

FB NR Jesse Allen SR 6-0/243/- Virginia Tech
DE 13 Noland Burchette SR 6-2/259/4.73 Virginia Tech
WR 13 David Clowney SR 6-0.5/188/4.39 Virginia Tech
OT 7 Brandon Frye SR 6-4/302/5.11 Virginia Tech
C NR Danny McGrath SR 6-2/287/- Virginia Tech
S 5 Aaron Rouse SR 6-4/218/4.52 Virginia Tech
P 6 Nic Schmitt SR 6-2/273/- Virginia Tech

My heart goes out to all who perished and their families and wonder if any of the above future 2007 draft players happened to be there at the time?.

I believe Aaron Rouse is top guy in this bunch of prospective grads there.

God bless all those people who witnessed this horrid day there.

I heard on espn radio that the entire football and baseball team were accounted for. Just a sad day for all those students and families.

I guess you might say that was good news on what is one of the worst days in collegiate history since the massacre at Kent State in the 70s.

Our society has so many crazed wack jobs walking around free out there everyday its frightening...Especially since you can't go into school anymore without fear of being shot,It must go through everybody's head these days.

I bet the Columbine school and its students and faculty was scarred for life.

Morbid, bro.

Don't mean for it to be taken as being unsensitive and uncaring..Just a thought of the players who may be eligible for the draft that went there and hope for those who survived and a deep sorrowed prayer for those who did not.

Please don't compare this to Kent State. These people were minding their own business, going to school, not throwing rocks at men with loaded guns.

You can take this to the political forum if you wish, but please let's not diminish the deaths in Virginia by comparing them to whackos, or implying there is ANYTHING good about it.

Where did I say ANYTHING GOOD comes about it?,Don't act like a jerk I was saying it was at least good to hear the players were ok and a tragedy for those involved nothing more - READ IT AGAIN -don't be so damn dramatic when analyzing someone's view on something.

Kent State was a shooting tragedy which also OCCURRED ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS as referenced to,not anywhere near the same situation nor did I say it was, please don't add words to what I said earlier-did not compare the two as same.

Yes this does not belong in this forum but only in reference to players coming out of college there in the 2007 nfl draft and to whether they had been in that area when it happened.

Chill out dude,no one is making anything light hearted out of this, that WOULD be morbid - enuff said.

Now THATS a morbid statement - Kidding or not-not a very smart thing to say..

Of course I'm kidding. It's a commentary on this thread, and on the media in general. For example, if a pretty white girl gets kidnapped/killed, it's a national tragedy. If an ugly girl gets kidnapped/killed, it's a national nothing, because we'd never know about it.

This thread rubs me the wrong way. It's nothing personal, but I'm a human being long before I'm a football fan.
