Patriots PR director Stacey James wants to make it clear that, “we should read nothing into us getting off to a bad start to the season,” but the Pats have had a tough time getting to Atlanta for tomorrow’s preseason opener against the Falcons.
Their 5 p.m. flight tonight was due to land in Atlanta at 7:50, but thunderstorms shut down Hartsfield International. So the team was diverted to Nashville, where it currently sits awaiting refueling. James expects the team to be in the air shortly.
“This is the exact reason teams are required to travel a day early,” he said.
Oh well. I'd rather have my players sitting bored at an airport, bonding, rather than sitting alone in their rooms.
