From reading the blog it seems that it was named based on reader's suggestions. Tomase didn't name it, some guy named Sully from Southie did.

I'll admit that JT took the suggestion of the name from readers ... but I just found it curious. He did, to his credit, identify patsfans.com for the salary cap work that Miguel does.

Not to pile on, but there have been sports columns, tv shows, etc. called "The Point After" for ages. Here's a blog written by a sports reporter since 5/25:

But that is close enough to have gotten ya there. It was on Dartmouth, near Newbury.

Enjoyed adjoining urinals there once with Bill Veeck ("as in Wreck").
