He was just waivers and no one claimed him.How so? There was a bidding war for Cunningham.. did u know that? He got the most money for an UDFA... why did BB do so, if there was no need for him? Meanwhile Zapp had no interest.
Becuase teams would have to give up a high pick if they claimed him.. that's why he wasn't claimedHe was just waivers and no one claimed him.
Not a single team claimed him when he would have been locked up for 3 years at next to no money with no dead money potential if cut.
That is as iron clad proof as could possibly exist. No one took him, for free.
Please no it’s excruciating enough watching Jones. This snippet from Reiss’s column this morning had me chuckle:
Would be funny if the lowest scoring game since Brady took over for Bledsoe again resulted in a permanent QB change (Zappe taking over for Mac long term). However it’s hard to expect the impact to be quite as great…
What? You don’t give up anything to claim a guy on waivers. Do you really not understand this?Becuase teams would have to give up a high pick if they claimed him.. that's why he wasn't claimed

No, what makes you say that?Wait a second
Are triumph and ross the same person
The permanent qb change to zappeNo, what makes you say that?
I think it’s a pretty common thought here that a QB change this week is likely, and since Zappe is the QB2 he’s the most likely candidate. I never said he would be stellar. The permanent qb change to zappe
I think there will be a change but only for this week. Mac needs a timeout from everything and it will do him good. He can come back in the Chargers game their defense is terrible so it’s an opportunity for get right game for him.I think it’s a pretty common thought here that a QB change this week is likely, and since Zappe is the QB2 he’s the most likely candidate. it was a joke because triumph is beating this drum since weeksI think it’s a pretty common thought here that a QB change this week is likely, and since Zappe is the QB2 he’s the most likely candidate. I never said he would be stellar.
That's...not how waivers works.Becuase teams would have to give up a high pick if they claimed him.. that's why he wasn't claimed
I know. I was talking about something else.....but.. The conversation got twisted a bit. As they always do on the forum. LOL.That's...not how waivers works.
They pick up the guy, pay the waiver fee (which is like $100) and assume his contract. Their priority in the waiver order also gets re-set.
Nobody gives up draft picks for waiver claims.
