Today, it has hit me like a ton of bricks

Watch the dog show. You'll feel better.

It's 4:30 EST right now...about two weeks ago I figured I'd be in the parking lot in Foxboro, hoisting brews and chomping on barbecue getting ready to watch the Patriots play to go to another Super Bowl. Figured I'd be up in 312, watching Brady shred to Welker and Branch on the perimeter against Pittsburgh.
Figured I'd see a a bunch of coverage sacks on Roethliesberger and probably a couple picks from maybe McCourty and a linebacker...Man, this really f#cking hurts, man...
Well, at least Krafty's making interest on my AFC Championship ticket...

Today sucks

That is all

for those interested. great hugh grant movie on lifetime, tv for woman... :bricks:

I think I'll watch my "Great Patriots Playoff Moments Since 2007" DVD....wtf...

I'm numb watching this. It's the first time I can say that I have no feeling toward football at all.

The 4 teams who played today all had better defenses than the Pats. Defense wins championships, period. Plus, Brad picked one hell of a time to have the poorest game of his career.

try living in NJ.......its pure hell

We did have a SB team this year, we just didn't execute.

An interception on a screen pass, a dropped TD pass, a failed fake punt and a 7+ minute drive ending in no points usually doesn't lead to victory.

Wasn't because of a lack of pass rush. Yes, of course that was the most obvious need during the season and it goes without saying that it will help us greatly in the long run but we did not lose to the Jets because of it.

After that game there was no "Wow, we OBVIOUSLY need a ____, so this doesn't happen next year!". The Pats beat themselves.

I agree... that's why i am not going all chicken little.

But that loss hit me hard... i didn't come on the board for days... i felt so bad for alge after that effort on the INT to save the TD... then he droped the TD.

I loved the ride this season took me on but it ended too soon and i was not ready... still aren't

With the exception of the Bears' final drive of the NFCCG, I've held up good on my boycott of the playoffs. For the Pats to go 14-2 and not even show up in the playoffs, to not be playing right now against the Steelers, it all feels like a big lie to me. I have no desire to watch this facade. I can't stand it. Hardcore sports fan for almost 20 years and I hate all of it right now. Getting real tired of not just the Pats faceplanting in the playoffs but to who and how. That's what gets me. Still need more time to get over this one.

I could not watch the games today. Just could not stomach it. No way, no how. Down here in Texas there have been tons of people in the stores wearing Steeler gear, and a few with Bears and Packers gear, no Jets that I personally saw. This was a hard day, and I'm glad it's over. Will not be watching the Super Bowl either, and this girl lives for football.

What about last year's AFCCG?
I wasn't that fussed because the Patriots were an average team last season. This season the Patriots were a very good side and blew their opportunity at glory repeating the same mistakes of the past.

ugh when i first put the game on i wanted to vomit. shoulda been us in there today
