I agree that the situation must end now; however, I don't think they

should let him go to the Jets. The pick the Jets are offering is the

pick they obtained from Washington not the Jets # 2. Try to

trade with Seattle so the Jets don't get the last laugh. They have

probably been orchestrating this thing with Chayut.

I'm all for letting Branch go to the Jets if the compensation is comparable to what Seattle offers. The Jets will have a poor record which we can help assure, and I want to see Rodney re-introduce himself to the Twig a couple of times each year.

I'm not sure what to think of when he comes back. He could be a poison but he would also have no choice but to play his hardest as he'd be playing for his much desired contract.

Regardless, it's stupid to release him when, worst case, we can get a #2 pick for him.

I feel very strongly that this situation has to be resolved before

Saturday. I think the NFL will pressure the Pats for a solution.

They don't want player agents and the NFLPA determining what

constitutes fair value in a trade.

Certainly he COULD sign with the PAts and extend, but maybe 1 chance in a thousand for that...given how Deion has been lighting afire all bridges with the Pats.. he's gone and should be traded..if not the Jets the seattle OR to a team that needs a WT..believe me ther ewill be a team that will need one in the first month of the season. Release him?? Why?? he's made a mess of this offseason while under contract..he wants out, he must PAY to go!! Thus a trade....
