Tampa Gets:
Thuney
23rd pick

Pats Get:
14th pick
2nd

Better idea, just to watch Brady's head explode we trade Thuney, our entire WR group and entire draft to Tampa for their WR group. I just want to see Brady's reaction when he has to spend another year throwing to receivers with OL type quickness.

"receivers with OL type quickness" EPIC!!

Newhouse @ TE?

(3) Sign tag. Play for $14m in 2020. Then get long term deal next year for $50m+ over 4 years or whatever next year.

Everything going all right he is still the top guard in the market next year and the salaries going up he gets to sign a better deal and putting 14Mi in the pocket this year. It's not a bad spot to be, there's only the injury concern.

I wonder if his quick signing means that the Pats are about to make a move. They just need to clear cap space by extending or trading Thuney before they make this move.

More likley Thuney is looking at the chaos and said, let me make sure I make 14.7 million dollars next year!

Overthecap.com has the team at about $97m in cap commitments currently, but there are a lot of things (roster bonuses, NLTBE incentives, future moves, etc) that will add to that before we get there. Still, I would think they are in position to have a lot of cap space next year. I'd guess between $60-90m?

On the other hand, they only have 28 players signed next year at this time.

I know those are just cap estimates but that’s some good news right there. It’s been a long time since BB had some significant money to go grocery shopping.

The cap will increase greatly in 2021 and 2022, so that contracts signed next year can be easily spread out.

I want to think this way.

Then, I pay attention to people who are analyzing the intersection of corona, the coming wave of unemployment, the stock market, oil prices, and international debt, and think, "we may never see another NFL season again."

Its like the bank by error put millions of dollars in his account. He woke up, saw it, withdrew the money and closed his account. Makes sense to me. Dude knows he's not worth this money.
