Had to stop there. I couldn't stop laughing at the idea that the later round rookie who's never taken a snap "should" be an improvement over the team's RB1 from last year.

From context, the discussion was pass catching from RBs. Blount was/is a good runner, but almost totally useless as a receiver. Indeed that may be the reason he went unsigned. Despite his weakness as a reciever, his merits as a a runner meant I too would have liked him to return.

Odd thread. Nevertheless, I think letting Blount go was the right move financially, and personnel-wise. I like White as a multiple threat out of the backfield, and I think Finch is going to be a missile coming out of the end zone with kickoffs. It's three jobs being done by two guys for less money in the end.
