Those poor pitiful Atlanta Falcons

I just had a co-worker who is a die hard Falcons fan ask if Jordan Richards is any good.

Here is our IM conversation.

Him: "Yo. This Richards kid we got any good?"
Me: "Hes great. Great tackler. Takes good angles to the ballcarrier. Very instinctive. Excellent coverage skills. Think a young Rodney Harrison."
Him: 'That's awesome! Dimitroff really knew what he was doing. Why only a 7th rounder?"
Me: "Not a lot of film on him so a bit of a unknown. Hes not playing ahead of Patrick Chung"
Him: "Ah. Well he should solidify our secondary then. Thanks!"

Chat ended.

Me: BAAAAAAAAHHAHHAAAAAAA

No better place for him. Atlanta is in a state which boarders a state that shares a boarder with ohio

I wish Richards luck. Didn't seem like a bad guy. They run a different defense down there so hopefully it suits him better.
Doesn’t theirs revolve around speed? Can’t see that working but, wish him all the best.

I'm glad he's no longer here from a football standpoint but hope he succeeds in Atlanta. He's a solid ST guy and definitely puts the effort out there but as we all know he wasn't cutting it here.

I'm not sure if he's a good fit for Atlanta or not but hope he finds a way to carve out a role there.

Personally I think he was in a tough spot here. I think he was playing a role to offset the deficiency in the front four or seven or six. Branch wasn't his 2016 self, lack of adequate depth and boom the big nickel. So yeah he sucked and missed tackles but, imo, he had a tough job to handle.

Wish him all the best as well..

Legion of Booooooooooo!

Not what Quinn had in mind coming from Seattle.

Regards,
Chris

Watch him turn to Ed Reed and become a hall of famer I would just laugh and drink.
Not to derail this a little but I was playing cards last week and a few of the guys were talking football. One guy, a big Steelers fan, was making good, intelligent conversation, while drinking a few. Then, he happened to mention Polamalu and Ed Reed in the same sentence. I instantly lost respect for his football knowledge. And I was not going to get into a debate with a drunk Steeler fan. It wasn't worth it and I wasn't going to get anywhere, even if I said "but they didn't even play the same position". A safety is a safety, right?! lol

Yeah some people felt Troy was elite I disagree he gave up as many big plays as he made.
Tom Manipulated him so many times bit on alot of play fakes or pump fake.
To me Chung and Troy are the same quality and for my money I like Pat he doesnt make as many big plays but he doesnt give up game changing plays either.
Now if Bill coached Troy maybe he would of greatly decreased those mistakes.
Who knows.

The injuries sucked for Atlanta, but injuries weren't the reason why they lost at Philthy. They bit themselves in their collective asses too often to survive, as they have been known to do. Another example: with 0:07 seconds left in the first half of their PO game, Julio Jones is sent out to the field to help vs the Hail Mary. Philthy uses one less real defender to its advantage, by completing a 20-yard pass out of bounds at Atlanta's 36. Philthy then kicks the 53-yard FG. Had that FG not been converted, Atlanta would only have needed a FG instead of a TD to win. Nobody to blame but themselves, again.
