Thomase also has us picking Harris, along with Curran and Reiss..

24. PATRIOTS, David Harris, LB, Michigan.

Harris has all the characteristics Pats seek in a 3-4 linebacker. He’s big enough to take on guards (6-2, 243) and fast enough to cover tight ends (4.59 dash). Add football smarts, high character, and an excellent work ethic, and he’s got Patriot written all over him. Griffin and Staley, should either slip, would also be possibilities here.

28. PATRIOTS, Brian Leonard, RB, Rutgers.

There should be an asterisk next to this one. We’re assuming the Pats trade out of the first round, stockpile picks, and take the jack-of-all-trades Leonard in the second round. If the Pats have taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. Should they go in a different direction at 24, Harris could be the pick at 28.
