This year's defense will be fun to watch

You need explosive playmakers on offense to win in today’s nfl. We have zero chance at developing Maye correctly or competing with the bills for the division crown if we invest in the trenches while neglect the skilled position players.
I didn’t say they’d be competing for the division crown did I? I said sniffing around a playoff spot. You can be 4th place in your division and still make the playoffs depending on circumstances

I get your desire for baby steps, it’s admirable. I’d rather build a team with elite top end talent geared toward taking down the bills one day rather than sustain a stable team who goes 9-8 every year but lacks a high ceiling

Hmmm maybe that sort of explains what's going on with our bathroom mirror. I used to see myself there but now it's just some old **** vacantly lookin' back at me

That reminds me: whenever someone asks where I see myself in 10 years, I say the bathroom mirror -- same as always.

WTH, the two are not mutually exclusive. @Ross12 was more or less saying a team with a solid foundation can compete, you build on top of that. You don't build a house starting with the roof ffs

of course i want this. but to say this is our best D line ever is the most comical thing ever.

If he'd actually said it was the best ever, you might have a point.
Also to your point about "comparable"....last year's D Line was comparable to the best D lines in NFL history, given that comparable means being able to make a comparison, and has nothing to do with the outcome of that comparison.
Not what he said. Reading comprehension is important.
Don't make idle arguments with Tunes....he's got a silent army.

I'm pretty excited to watch the transformation into a Raise Hell defense, with a quality backend.
These guys we got are good.

I personally think we still need
a stud FS, we've suffered since Devin left.

Some of us not so silent, although I'm sure Tune might prefer the me part of us would exercise my right to remain silent a bit more often

You and I watched a completely different Marte Mapu then. To me, he looked completely lost, and 3 steps too slow to react on every play he was at FS, which IMO is why they started putting Jonathan Jones back there.
Mapu may be converted from big S to fast LB.
There is no question he has skills if he can’t be used in the right role and situations.
He is basically the same size as Spillane and was a LB in college

Marte is NOT a FS in my Jag opinion.
SS/Fast LB is my JAG Opinion.
I think he's fast enough to shadow/catch good TE'S and some RBS.
Playing FS is stupid IMO, But as I've said, I'm JAG that watches the game.
Big difference between seeing a play 10-15 yds away and seeing multiple options from 30-40 yds away.
Devin was a Guy looking at it as a CB, he was a perfect FS.
He could also run 22MPH.

On the bright side, you're not occupying one.
So at least there's that.
My Family is mad, I've told them that's what I want when it happens.
Some people just don't get it.

They don't have to 'get it' they only have to honor it.
My wife and I have prepaid and planned our final arrangements. One of us waits in an urn for the other then our commingled ashes are to be scattered on the outgoing tide. Our sons are aware of the plan, if any of them don't care for it they've had the decency to keep their mouths shut.

I've asked for the North River, and the Ferry to Nantucket, that way they don't have to go to a Cemetery, every time they are on any boat around here in the Ocean, they are with me.

Sorry for the OT, Let's return to our normal complaining mothafkrs.

Sooner or later most every grave gets forgotten. The boys grew up sailing with us, they should be plenty comfortable 'visiting' us ocean side.
And yeah, by all means, we now return you to your regularly scheduled *****fest
