Excellent perspective. And I don't usually appreciate baseball/football analogies. Really were a lot of paralells between the two career/organization arc wise, was a case of wouldn't have gotten there (to a point where a new ownership was interested enough to persue acquiring the team) without you but just couldn't get over the hump (actually winning it all) with you. Bledsoe got his team to a superbowl with Parcells and Nomar and Petey were within a Grady Little brain fart of getting their team to a World Series. Sadly, all to often what is remembered of those times is the pain...of coming up just short.
