It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The Pats actually got the 1st down IMO.For a long time he was pretty much as perfect a coach as it can get. The preparation of his players, the game planning, the in game adjustments and decisions, the psychology of getting the most out of and disciplining the players. And a very good gm on top of that. He was overshadowed by Brady because of how good Tom was especially towards the end but you cant ignore how great BB was.
Not to toot my OWN horn but Hes the coach i found myself disagreeing with the least. Also 4th and 2 was a great call imo. Cant believe how much crap he got for it. Id have done that 10 times outta 10.
Loved his ego as well. Hilarious postgame.Everything. Except for his maniacal narcissistic ego.
How do you know this already, you're just assuming since he's new he'll mess things up?1) 'In Game' management
If stat nerds created a W.A.R (wins above replacement) stat for 'game day' NFL coaching, Bill likely would have a handful of 2+ W.A.R seasons, maybe a 3 or 3+ as well, especially back in the early dynasty years when Bill was on an extended heater and could do little wrong.
Half time adjustments, 2-minute drill clock management, exploiting rule loopholes, deferring kickoffs, telling Willie when to "fake" an injury, timeouts, etc etc etc.
My biggest worry regarding this new coaching regime led by a neophyte coach is that not only will Mayo & Co not add any game day value, but their game day coaching will negatively affect the win totals......a negative W.A.R.
Think early years 'Andy Reid clock management'
If you were 70 and unattached and this pretty young girl wanted to get in your pants, would you let her? I would.^Madness.
Is this young woman attractive ? Very.
Would it be fun to boink her ? Surely.
But c’m’on Bill…

Is this another sign of aging?
Would it not have been advisable, when needing two yards, to run a Three-yard pattern...?
p.s.: I did not have nearly as much of a problem with 4th/2 as I did with 3rd/2.

Guess he's done with blonds.
At least she is old enough to order a drink in a bar. Anthony Kedis is dating a 19 year old.If you were 70 and unattached and this pretty young girl wanted to get in your pants, would you let her? I would.
A narcissist is never at fault blaming everyone else when things go wrong. They also take all the credit when things go well. They believe that they are better than they actually are in reality.Everything. Except for his maniacal narcissistic ego.
even though I have consistently been one of his harshest critics over past 5 years I will miss:
1. His mental toughness
2. His discipline
3. The gravitas he brings to the table both for his own players and other teams
4. He was feared by other teams, especially qbs
5. Players listened to him
6. He earned his head coaching shots
7. He could often come up with brilliant defensive game plans
His GM decisions obviously did him in but the swag he carried around with him will be missed
I still think Mayo is not the coach this franchise deserves. A more qualified and experienced coach should have been sought after. Vrabel deserved the shot.
Some red flags already popping up with Mayo.
When Pats are 4-13 players will tune him out quickly, his inclusive player friendly buddy buddy, back slapping approach only works for winning organizations.
Pete Carrol was a failure here b/o players friendly approach.
Maybe he's just practicing how to challenge a bad callSam, saying “ red flags are popping up with Mayo,” but not being willing to actually say what they are is really lame.
Whoever drafted Corky Mac did BB in.Bill the HC still had what it takes. Bill on the sidelines and in the locker room always gave the Pats an edge. every little edge counts. the difference between wins and losses is that little edge.
as posted above, Bill the GM did Bill the HC no favors.
Maybe he's just practicing how to challenge a bad call
