I'm too angry and upset at the Gronk situation so i will not say anymore, however i will say there are some almost can't miss guys at his position that we can add on top of Gronk for next season that would be spectacular to watch in our offense.

Amaro, Ebron, Sefarian-Jenkins are only the cream of the crop and any of them would be huge for Tom.

P.S. Aaron Hernandez is a piece of [expletive]

I'd like to see us double dip in the 1st round again (perhaps with Mallett involved in a trade or something. Obviously not straight up for a 1st rounder. Maybe Ridley?)

TE and a OT please!

Ridley is an amazing player i'm telling you the second Pats say he's up for trade there will 31 GM's on the phone.

I will take nothing but a 1st and more picks for Ridley, can't let a guy that good go for cheap.

I really like him, and I genuinely hope he fixes this fumble issue. (I think it's a little overblown)

Just seems like Belichick is slowly losing faith in him and we'll lose him for nothing once his contract is up. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Nevertheless, I would love to see a TE and OT drafted with our first 2 picks, or with a trade up

If BB can get a starting caliber DT (or two) and an upgrade to Wendell in FA then I am fine with drafting Amaro or Ebron in round 1.

Why would anyone trade a first for Ridley? Unless it's the second coming of AP, RBs are dropping out of the first round come draft time.

Regarding Tight Ends, they are some very good ones. I do wonder if it's shot to the top of the pile of needs potentially ahead of DT and OL. As patsinthesnow mentioned, a lot will depend on Free Agency.

Your word choice is rather ironic, but I suspect that it moved WAY up after the Prisoner forced his release.

Ridley might conceivably (but probably wouldn't) fetch a second rounder in a trade. Definitely not a first, absolutely no chance. Third rounder is the highest we could reasonably expect.

The chances of trading Mallett are pretty slim, since we did not attempt to develop any QBs this season.

Our system typically takes at least one full season to groom a replacement and have him even pick up our system and playbook. We'll be forced to bring in another QB or two next year, simply due to the fact that Mallett's last season will likely be in 2014.

There's enough depth at the TE position this year to not need to dip in to the first round for one. That would be poor value.

Lets not start the 'trade Ridley' stuff. This is a better team with him and our running game hasn't been the same since we've been benching him. BB's ego is sometimes too much for me. The guy needs to be getting more reps. Hopefully BB is phasing him back in and he will get more and more towards the playoffs.

'Let's trade our only backup and potential heir to Tom'...'lets trade our best RB'....c'mon man.

I agree with you that it's way to early, not to mention poor value to talk about trading Ridley.

Even in a worst case scenario as a depth back, he still comes at a cheap price under the last yr of his rookie deal in 2014, and can still bring a ton of value to this team by offering service as a starting back--if the need arises.

Again, my example is in a worst case scenario. I think he is phased back into getting more reps as the playoffs come up.

Hate to be picky but the three players you mentioned are all underclassmen and of them, only Ebron has said he's declaring so far. This class needs all three to declare plus one or two more (Niklas and Walford for example) to make this a decent class.

With gronk being out for the year (still praying for a miracle that its only a sprain) Ridley importance to this team just shot up. He might be behind Brady in that department right now. No way am I even thinking about trading him right now.

I've proclaimed my love for two TE in the draft forum. Jace Amaro and Colt Lyerla Unfortunately I've heard rumors Amaro might stay in school another year, and Lyerla a knucklehead (think this years draft class honey badger) but those 2 are freaks. Lyerla most likely will be a late rd pick, if not undrafted.

Definitely need another quality TE in this coming draft.

Trade Mallet for 2 - 1st round picks and Ridley for 1 - 1st round pick. Not to the same team of course so NE can have 3 - 1st round picks this draft.

Do it BB!

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have tried LSD. I'm going to assume this suggestion would be what a good trip would result in.

If they can trade Mallett to the Rams or Browns, that would make four first rounders. Then we could double dip at TE and DT in the first round

I like your style.

Good thinking.

DT will likely be the Pats' top priority in the next draft. I think the Pats will look to replace Hernandez, not Gronk in the draft. You are not going to draft high to replace Gronk when Gronk is likely to be ready for the regular season and you have a first or second round pick playing scrub duty.
