The Wisdom of Dan Dierdorf

It's really funny how teams of different fans can see the same announcer as "anti" their team. There is a thread on Finheaven titled, "I had a hard time understanding Dan Dierdorf" and starts off by saying with Tom Brady's **** in his mouth. Can we all not handle anything negative said about our team or positive said about the other team to that extent? If so that's crazy. Even last week someone started a thread on finheaven about how Simms was so pro Jets while doing the game. Yeah, well he picked Miami to win the game. I think fans need to lighten up and be able to handle it when these guys talk bad about their teams or nice about the opposition.

Absolutely true. FWIW I didn't see any bias either way from Dierdorf yesterday. I think he's a ****ty announcer, but not because of some imagined bias.

What about him going on about Andre Agassi and how great the interview was going to be and how huge he is in "The Orient"!!!!

And I can't stand when any annoucers starts a sentence with "Talk about"....my **** that is annoying.

He did catch himself on the "They're going for it" 3rd down bit, though, even alluding to something like "his brain being somewhere else" that moment. I laughed. :shrug:
