Sanchez is apparently the one who did the stabbing. The truck driver is in the hospital w/ a massive slash down his face. I hope he winds up with every penny Sanchez has.
You know as a commentator I didnt think he was half bad. As a football player and as a human....meh....not so much.

Sounds like the knife definitely belonged to the truck driver and that he first used against the Jete. From pics of the driver's injuries, a good guess is that at some point the Jete felon wrestled away the knife and got in some slashes of his own. Sanchez would have been better off living with the shame of 100 buttfumbles than doing what he did that night.

True. They don't put you in prison for buttfumbles.

Butt fumble PTSD is a strong defense strategy that could get Sanchez exonerated.

I’m sure you know any number of dom com billionaires who at the age of 70 pick up used cooking oil in a truck at midnight to make biofuels. That doesn’t sound at all like someone making up **** to defend a totally stupid opinion.

Sanchez has a contract with Fox worth 50 million and is on tape beating up a senior citizen. He’s gunna try to pay this guy to go away. There is no possible chance he goes on the offensive BEFORE this guy sues him. Which is coming
You were right.
Did not take long.

Mark Sanchez, Fox Being Sued by Man Involved in Stabbing Incident

This will be on the back burner for now, the criminal case must be adjudicated first.
Negotiations with Fox will proceed. Watch for them quietly being dropped from the case.

This is not the first time Sanchez has been involved with something. He was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault which was buried during his time at USC in 2006 when he was a Freshman. Former players came out saying he has a history when drinking and they aren't surprised this happened.

Yea we all know those kids who get drunk and just have a mean, nasty, borderline homicidal look in their eyes sometimes..

Possibly. Although I don't think there is any case against Fox to be had but they may just not want their name associated with the incident. When I was on the street and an officer got sued it included the city. The person didn't care about the officer they wanted in the pockets of the city. However in this case I don't see how Fox has any responsibility/ownership in what Sanchez did. But what do I know...it may be worth a couple million to them for safety considerations.

Exactly. It’s a flimsy case against an organization with deep pockets. They may evaluate the costs of litigating plus the costs of image damage and decide to settle. It also opens a lot of internal documents to discovery. If Sanchez has a history showing a drinking problem it would be a bad look for Fox.

If I’m his lawyer I’m pleading insanity brought on by the JETE. I’m breaking down video of the butt fumble. I’m putting Rex Ryan, Fireman Ed, Woody Johnson, Woody Johnson’s son, Bart Scott, etc.. all on the stand to testify and show the epic **** show that is the JETE and how it will drive any man crazy.

Rex can testify how they used to talk about his foot fetishes and Sanchez’s obsession with 70 year old men who smell like a deep fryer.

Lotta merriment in the discussion here.
However, the description - and there was video - is pretty ugly.
After entering the truck to demand the driver move, he attacked the driver. The 69-year old pulled pepper spray which didn't slow Sanchez down. He continue to attack and the driver pulled a knife to defend himself and stabbed Sanchez. Sanchez then body-slammed the 69-year old to the concrete, grabbed the knife, and cut through the face of his stunned victim on the ground so deep it sliced his tongue.
On
Video
In the hospital he told police he didn't now "who attacked him" but reportedly smelled strongly of alcohol.
This is it for Sanchez. That's some serious rage. Over a parking spot. From some elderly minimum wage worker.

The lawyer apparently tossed in Fox, alleging they should have known Sanchez's proclivity to drunken rage. That part is thin.

Sad
I wonder if he even remembers this.
So many crimes and tragedies involve alcohol. Lot's of folks in jail don't even remember what they did.
Yet we tolerate booze in our grocery stores...

Alcohol induced blackout might be his best defense. If I understand it correctly that will require establishing some really serious alcohol abuse as part of his legal strategy. That would be an interesting decision for his defense team.
