Hopefully, one or more of the waiver players will be good enough to be active soon. Perhaps, this will allow us to provide an upgrade from someone.

Of course, my not-so-secret wish is that we will be able to get rid of the free agent errors Okorafor and Leverett.

Perhaps and hopefully, yes.

I feel confident in Hudson as a Center and Demontrey Jacobs at LT
I suppose that it is fine to believe that a UDFA RT can be our LT. seems wrong to me

Thats fair, in 2023 Jacobs was horrible in the preseason, but in the 2024 preseason he looked very good at both LT and RT. A buddy of mine is a Denver fan and he felt that Jacobs should have won the swing OT spot over Peart. I am not saying that he would solve the LT spot but I think he would be an improvement to Chuks.

fair enough

I had forgetten that DEN was considering him for the swing OT position. Apparently, some in the DEN organization think that he is a t least reasonable filling in at LT.

If he has played any LT at a semi-reasonable level, then sure.

I am for "CHUCK CHUKS" even if we have to have Wallace as backup LT, even though he has done poorly at that position so far.

It seems that each game will give the staff lots of information. For example, Wallace seems set as out jumbo set 6th OL/TE. Many of us certainly expected it to take a month to work things out at OL. Then Maye can start.

After Game One, I have us wanting to cut Chuks and Leverett and elevate Jordan and Hudson to the 53-man roster.

We'll see where we are next week.

Kyed says Jacobs was with the third team OL today. He hasn’t passed anybody on the depth chart yet.
Thanks for the info. I had not heard that, I am not surprised because he needs to learn Peters system and he is an UDFA but I have high hopes. I have had misguided hopes several times though when it comes to the Pats.

@p8ryts why ya confused?
I don't understand what makes you single them out. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that how do we know anything about them other than the propaganda the club put out when they obtained them. I have to see them play first.

If the rest of the unit was more cohesive I would find it easier to believe one of them could fill in as needed. But with the whole thing a mess I don't see one of these guys being the fix.

Hopefully Sow and/or Strange can stabilize things a little. Then as the year goes on maybe one of these guys fills in somewhere and turns out to be decent.

From going back and watching some of their college stuff as well as 2024 preseason games. It has more to do with my absolute distrust in Chuks and Leverett. When I said I am confident in them as Center and LT. I should have said I have confidence they will be better than Chuks and Leverett.

Lowe was a 6th round pick and got traded by the team that selected him after one season… does that give you a sense of security?
Of course not.

Do you have a point?

Draft position (or a lack of it) doesn’t mean squat after it ends. The NFL is a meritocracy.

Nobody cares that Jakobi Meyers is an UDFA, all that matters is he’s a good player.
