How Long Should We Waste Practice Time And Game Reps On Okorafor?

Okorafor is so bad I start liking V Lowe that alone should tell ya!
In 2018.. when Trent was on, and he was motivated no one was talking about Williams in SF.. just shows how much a player can make a difference when engaged.

Many here lobbied for the Patriots to sign this guy, once healthy.
Former Packer = ties to Wolf.

I'm thinking that the already slim possibility of Bakhtiari signing with the Patriots is even more remote with this news, since he is going to get paid at least $2 million without having to put his body on the line.

This says it all "Guy been stealing money for like 4 years on GB now. Sheesh"
Don't be a fool Wolf avoid him like the plague no thanks.

The guys on Patriots Unfiltered seemed to indicate they have heard Okorafor's issues stem from more of a "want to" than "can't". Basically he is a less talented Trent Brown.
And would get us to Drake Maye sooner rather than latter.

Played 23 games in the last 4 full years. Well, the Pats do have some extra $$$ to piss away. I'd vote, no, but it ain't my $$$.

Man, I will never understand the mentality of " not being engaged" for a pro athlete.
Why would you embarass yourself and your family, first and foremost?
You are also spitting in the faces of all the millions of aspiring pro athletes who didn't make it but always gave it their all.
Also you're spitting in the faces of every fan, especially kids.
It is about the worst sin a pro athlete can commit.
I have zero respect for any weak-ass clown who does that. **** them

Engagement is something that doesn't cost anything. Most NFL players from pee wee throughout college to the pros it's about Engagement and commitment. Yeah sometimes is the most physically talented players that never seem to reach thier zenith due to thier own things they can control. Trent Brown is one of them. When he's motivated he's likely the best LT in football yes I mean better than willimiams. He showed this in 2018.. guy made millions and won a superbowl.

Must be on a short leash ?.....maybe the team will try him at RT to give him another chance but if this does not work then time to go.

If this is true, the team should cut his ass yesterday. A rebuilding locker room culture has no use for a guy like that.

He’s probably starting this week if Robinson’s new shoulder injury is anything serious. Onwenu back to RG and Okorafor at RT makes way more sense than Jordan and Leverett as the two guards.
If Robinson is injured, we will probably keep Okorafor for awhile. Perhaps, we should be giving Thomas a chance to play RG. It makes little sense to claim a player who can only play RG and then not use him when our RG has a (hopefully) minor ionjury.

The report I saw said Robinson was practicing.

Like I said about this in the offseason, the most disturbing aspect was how quickly the Pat’s ran to sign Chuks. He was one of the first signings in free agency by any team, so it’s not like it was a case of having no options… he was their first option.

This points to a blind spot in Wolf’s evaluation process at the tackle position, and it might be along the entire offensive line. If this is the case, I won’t feel great, even if they have a top ten pick to spend on a tackle next year.

A GM who can’t evaluate the offensive line is about as useful as a knuckle in my johnson. We’ll never win it all, even if Maye is a stud surrounded by great weapons… we’ll be the Bengals.

Yeah.. good point. I believe this was a learning lesson for wolf. I can bet you this off season and draft we get things right with the O line. Especially with Drake we need to maximize his potential. I just think it was overlooked.. or thinking that the guys we had chuks and co. Would pan out.

We better hope Wolf pulls his head from his azz and starts drafting athletes with long arms at OLine instead of poor athletes with long arms. A poor athlete is a poor athlete, long arms alone doesn't make for a good NFL offensive lineman.

We also have some fans here who need to admit they were wrong. Go back and read this thread if you want some laughs.

Read how many posters blanched at the idea of me referring to this as a bad signing and Chuks as a jag... how many said I was outright wrong. Or how many suggested they signed him to be a backup, they didn't... they signed him to start. Zuma was quick to admit I was correct all along, kudos to him.

Just because the old mean guy is gone, doesn't mean we rubber stamp every move the new regime makes. Objectivity is judging every decision based on its merits. This was a bad signing at the outset. Relying on Lowe was a bad decision as well. Time reveals all...

Well we know the old mean guy is a legend but it's also a reason he's no longer here. However your right. But let's remember this is still a rebuilding team with the 3rd overall pick. I'm also going to admit I too was wrong on the O line.. I should not say O line but more tackle spots.. also you have to guys injured in stranger and Sow. That's vastly impacted the depth. Lowe we are stuck with him unless a more capable LT falls from the sky.
