Not sure what round, but C. Kirk was born a Patriots. In fact, he will fit so well with Brady that Brady's diet and exercises will seem conventional.

someone is going to surprise slide to 23. always happens. Hurst. McGlinchey. If they sit tight, Pats should get someone who could contribute right away.
would not surprise me if they see numerous players they like still available, they trade down

Lb - Evans Alabama
Cb - Oliver Colorado
Ot - Crosby Oregon
De - ejoifor wake forest

... traded down.

Need a QB with one of those picks.

I have no clue but I do think we'll either trade up a little to get the 5th QB taken if we like Lamar Jackson or else take the 6th QB (whoever we happen to like with one of these picks.

What would I do (not the thread question)? I would take the best front 7 guy at #23 then trade #31 for a #1 next year plus whatever the going rate is to be added (I'd take a #3 and a mid round pick to fill in our mid round gap). Still take a QB in round two if we like one, if not see what next year has to offer at QB with two #1s.

1-23: R. Evans LB
1-31: K. Miller LT
2-11: R. Green DE
2-31: K. Lauletta QB

But...I think Belichick trades back 2x. He moves back a few spots from 23 to between 27 -30 and picks up a 3rd rounder. He moves 2nd round 11 back to later in the 2nd and picks up an early 4th rounder.

Vontae Mack!! JK

Just a random thought, but wasn't Dorance Armstrong Jr highly thought of last year? Now, it seems like he's mocked to go in a mid round. Anything happen there or is my memory failing me?

The stages of the draft for Pats Fan.com posters..

Head Scratchers... "WTF is BB thinking??.. player x is still available"
Comments about his mental state.... "BB is getting senile"
Comments about his NFL aptitude... "The game has passed him by"
He is doing someone else a favor by drafting player X, " Mike Lombardi's great nephew went to college in Ohio and one day he saw Football Practice and saw a guy who he really liked and told Uncle Mike who then told BB."

Then when the dust settles the Pats will get graded on what they did and get a B... they will never be declared a winner on Draft Day, but will make the second tier.

Throughout the whole process fans will *****, moan and whine about the draft on this message board and sports talk radio.. conspiracy theories will crop up and a search for the hidden meaning of the draft will occur.

Then come January and there will be struggles in the Tournament, all the while there will be wild claims on this Message Board about how they could have been different if BB had only drafted player X...

It goes on and on, and happens every year.. predictability..

This is probably true. I do a lot of complaining about that type of thing. Never have minded eating a weeks worth of crow dinners though.
