McDaniel's is awful in my opinion, his career has consisted of riding Brady's cotail or failing elsewhere.
As much as I question McDaniels' play calling at times, you cannot blame him for the woeful performances of Solder and Wendell.

Re: Re: The Official Patriots vs Jet game thread

Blount is useless. please stop running the ball out of the end zone.

Good news is they have not used him on offense today so we've got half the problem solved.

Eight sacks for the Jets in seven quarters against us. That's the story to me. Have to tip your hat to their d. It has been really good.

saints had a bunch of sacks last game too, so did cinci. jets defense is better than years past but our oline is trash.

Never say die, still a quarter left! Need to score a touchdown this drive. No doubt their performance on O has been super disappointing, especially with the much touted Gronk return.

To be honest, I didn't expect Gronk to be a difference maker. All I wanted from him was decent productions. The rest of the guys on offense who got the record to 5 and 1 need to keep doing what they are doing.

The Patriots defense is missing both of its NFL starting-level DTs. It's missing it's best LB, who happens to be the only LB capable of covering against the pass. It's missing its CB1, which leads to the CB3 and S2 being exposed.

The Patriots offense is missing it's best WR. It's dealing with a TE who's playing his first game of the year. It's missing it's only RB receiving weapon. It's got a pair of rookie WRs who are inconsistent, at best, and who struggle mightily against man coverage. It's got a center who is not starting quality going against an excellent pair of DTs. It's got a LT who's been struggling for much of this young season.

All this, and the team is coming off a last-second win in an emotional game, against an excellent opponent.

With that in mind, why are people posting as if they are shocked that this game has been a struggle?

Four down? No, five down.lol

Funny, stop running on 2nd and long and look what happens! Coming at them instead of reacting.

I thought the clothes line was illegal?

I love that play. Third and long, throw low ten yards short of the stick. Why not just punt on third down? At least limit the return.

Corner blitz. You got to get that ball out instantly.

Jets came to play. This is a Division game and they want to win it and right now doing it.

The middle of the O-Line is getting blown up on every play.

We are not doing anything running start throwing like that

Wow, he targeted someone other than Edelman. Good for you, Tom.

Oh I don't blame him for that. I blame him for thinking the I-formation should be reserved for when you're playing from behind.

These 4th quarter behind games are so nerve wrecking.

Wow. Bolden caught a wide open pass. Great play.

Flag?
