I once went to a National Indoor Football League game (think about two steps down from Arena Football).

They had a promotion where if a randomly selected fan could kick a field goal, that fan could win a spot as the team's new kicker.

OK, no joke...Ebner is an elite athlete who kept putting himself in the right position to make the play tonight. If that's for real, the Patriots have 4 actual real-live safeties. That's a pretty amazing accomplishment under the circumstances.

Hard to judge without seeing practices but fans should be encouraged with the progress of Mallet ... at the very least he's pushing Hoyer which is good for the team.
