Hightower Is not filling in well for Mayo, so far. Cole is the worst player on the team. The Patriots have had to depend on players put into positions of importants they can't handle.

I agree. Hightower is in over his head. He's a solid player, but he so obviously cannot fill in for Mayo adequately at this point. We can only hope that he continues to learn and he gets better at it.

Show me a team that remains competitive when their #1 DT, #2 DT, #1 LB and #1 CB (maybe even in the NFL) are all out? Given that, I'm giving the D some slack.

The offense has been putrid though, and with the OL playing like warm ass before Vollmer's injury, I'm concerned.

I do believe that his play against the run has been the knock on him. He's a great pass rusher, but he isn't as great against the run. Take that with a grain of salt, however, as I have not watched too many Vikings games.

Once again the blitz fails to get there. As much as we have clamored for the blitz, the Pats just don't get there. That throw was so comfortable for Tannehill, albeit incomplete. A QB should never be comfortable when the other team blitzes, even if they don't get there.
