Nah, he channeled his inner Brady of circa 2001-2005.

Brady carried the offense in 2006. Brady led the best offense in NFL history in 2007. Brady was hurt in 2008, and he struggled coming back off of major knee surgery in 2009. Brady won the MVP in 2010.

He was never gone except for 2009. People forget too easily.
