I hate to say it, Mallett would be a stud in the 1990s. Unfortunately, the days of the seven step drop are long gone.

Mallett really seems to be pressing this offseason. I mean he's got to be aware that a few clubs were reportedly interested in him and maybe he's just playing tight because he's so painfully aware that this preseason is his audition for a possible trade into a starting position this offseason.

It's a real bummer too because he has looked worse than previous preseasons.
