And who is this mystical, flawless QB that you long for in the NFL? So the guy made some mistakes. Who the F' doesn't ? Give it a rest.

Ok, you still are wrong, but I get it now. Have you ever watched Brady move around in the pocket directing his receivers to go where he wants them to? Brady improvises after the snap all the time. Just because he doesn't run around like Colin Kaepernick doesn't mean he can't manipulate the pocket to buy times and improvise the play.

This is because Brady threw to Sudfeld and missed the two open receivers, maybe he sight line was blocked or maybe he made his decision a tad too quick, who knows but it happens once in a while, these guys are taking it a bit too far because of one play.

Aaron Rodgers threw 2 INTs today, missed some open receivers, was sacked 4 times, had a QB rating under 65 and failed to convert a 4th down with the game on the line. He must be too old for the NFL.

I agree. Brady was wrong on those plays, but what QB doesn't make bad decisions? Didn't the Pats still score a TD on the drive where Brady missed the two open WRs?

While I agree that it is silly to b1tch about the D after giving up 3 points, I still think he is correct. Arrington is not good on the outside and is strong in the slot. Against the next three opponents, I would think this point would be more glaring.

Every QB makes some bad decisions at times. Many of these mistakes happen early in the year while offenses gel. None of this says much about Brady other than that he needs to get more acclimated with his receivers.

We may as well start to get used to thoughts like these, b/c we'll likely be hearing plenty of it through the media who will claim that Brady isn't as good as he was in the past and that he's old, etc.

We all know the truth of the matter, of course. Once we get Gronk and Amendola back, things will be much different. As the season progresses, the rookie WR's should be much better.

Disappointed in the crowd today after the 1st quarter after watching seattle's 12th man last week trying to set a guiness record last week

With all due respect SVN, I'm not seeing the relationship to our crowd at Gillette vs the crowd and stadium up in Seattle.

Their stadium was built to hold in crowd noise, and the whole "Guinness" record thing was announced a long, long time prior to the season starting. I believe someone in the fanbase had an idea to try and break the record in their home opener, so that's how the idea started.

The crowd in Foxborough will never be 1/2 of what the crowd in Seattle is, due to several different factors, and although that is unfortunate we should be more than used to it by now.

The team itself has given our fans the biggest homefield advantage since the inception of the stadium in 2002 with an overall 75-15 record, so crowd noise really isn't going to come into play. That said, I agree that it'd be nice if the crowd were more focused and a bigger part of the game, but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen too often.

Yes he did mess up. Not a great game but a good + game.
No QB finds every open receiver or completes all his passes.
2/3rds completion % while missing almost every skill player from 2012 and his starting RT and 2 TDs is playing well with chaos.
Kaepernick and RG III looked bad playing with chaos.
Rogers wasn't sharp.
Rthlsbrgr is not tearing up the league.

Seriously guys, are posters only happy when they are whining? The Pats put together a DOMINATING 23-3 victory over the Bucs. Not just good but DOMINANT. Bucs had NO CHANCE to win this one AT ALL. But all I hear are complaints. 16-0 season seems to have spoiled a LOT of fans. Unless we won by 30+ and Brady hits 90% of his passes, nobody appears to be content even with a WIN!

So let's not pretend Brady had some kind of pathetic outing full of misfires and mistakes. He wasn't perfect but he was solid and guided the Pats to a convincing victory.

And just to give you some perspective on what 92.9 QB Rating means - Joe Montana's career average rating was 92.3.

You're kidding with this, right? Did you read your own earlier posts? Are you really trying to equate normal incompletions, well within the margin of error for any QB in NFL history, with proof of decline and a failure of improv capabilities?

In 2007, in the game against the Ravens, Brady completed under 50% of his passes. Two weeks later, he completed only 52% of his passes and then followed that up the next week with just a 56% completion rate. In all of those games, he missed open receivers and threw an interception (he actually threw 2 INTs in that last game).

Was he in decline then, too?

One of the most satisfying wins in a long time. TB was a team poised to give us tons of problems - Two solid receivers including one who has killed us, a great back and a defense that is definitely going to be a top 5 D. Plus whenever BB coaches against a friend or protege they always seem to bring their team's A game.

Love, love, love what I'm seeing out of the rookies. I thought we'd see more of Boyce by now but I'm happy to be wrong as long as we keep tallying up wins. Dobson looks like the real deal and I can't wait to see what these rookies look like when they're on the field with Amendola, Vereen and Gronkowski.

Seriously, you guys, our top 2 offensive threats are sidelined (and you can argue that Vereen is #3 in terms of big play potential) and we're 3-0 with 2 divisional wins. You just can't beat that ****.

Looking ahead we may very well drop a game or two over the next few weeks but the building blocks are there and if this team gets its full compliment of playmakers back by week 10 we'll be ready to start a really nice ******* run.

Very satisfying win. My only real gripe was Blount still at KR and getting carries before late in the 4th. He was awful on both accounts while Bolden did much better. No reason IMO Bolden/Ridley shouldn't handle 99.9% of the meaningful carries early on until Vereen gets back aside from injury. Not sure if Blount's success late would have happened against a stronger D or in a closer game but if so he may have a true role here as a 'closer', first effective one we've had since '04.
