The OFFICIAL Patriots vs. Browns Post Game Thread

Well Boyce seems like he maybe starting to get it. Just need to get Dobson and Thompkins healthy.

Now McDaniels needs to evolve this to a WR offense.

Also how about Vereen today, 15 touches 162 yards 1 TD.

How far away is Hoomanawanui? We need him.

It's not confirmed. It's what is being speculated. Only the MRI tomorrow will confirm it.

And since when would Mike Garafalo (who isn't even in New England) get a scoop like that? Color me skeptical that he got the news before others did..

Yep you're right! What a hot take. No way Gronk had some sort of season-ending injury. This is the slander of the mediots and Goodell. Gronk had a stinger and will be back next week

Patriots versus Brown postgame thread

Deus, this team never gives up. It's gonna come down to Dobson, KT, Boyce, amendola, Edelman and collie to come together. We maybe be witnessing one of the craziest, seasons ever, and it's gonna end in a SB title.

So, uh, it's 5 AM over here and I'm supposed to go to sleep after that? Some thoughts before I lie in bed staring at the ceiling and watching the room get lighter.

1. That officiating crew were just plain awful. The only thing that was worse was the announcing crew. I hope I don't have to experience either for the rest of the year. Or next year, for that matter.

2. Kudos to Josh McD. He takes a lot of criticism, but he game-planned on the fly after the hit that shall not be mentioned and managed to get the offense moving.

3. I'm so proud of how this team has fought back against such adversity. It seems ridiculous to consider them going anywhere in the playoffs with such losses to key players, but we've got a thing going on now that smacks strongly of 2001 when nobody believed in them either.

4. Josh Boyce as the late season revelation with Vereen, Amendola and Edelman running amok with screens and short passes with the occasional deep pass over the top to Dobby? Why not?

5. Tom Brady. The best ever. When you have him, there are no impossibilities.

We Lost Gronk but we gained another possible weapon in Boyce. Looks like we will just have to adapt the offense again and make it all WR based.

The Gronk thing is a mess.

Getting rid of Welker was a mistake. Not getting a true number one receiver was a mistake. Not recognizing that Hernandez was a thug was a mistake. But at this point it's all water under the bridge. We can only role with what we have and try to execute better early.

Again, I will not apologize for the win. The PI was ticky tack at the end but he did have his hand on Boyhce's shoulder while he was going for the ball. And Brady did have to drive the field for two TDs. The onside was also executed to perfection. Browns player failed to wrap up ball. Tough luck there. It happens.

10-3 baby.

The Patriots didn't "get rid" of Welker. He is the one who turned down the 2yr/$8mill per deal. Then turned down the 2yr/$6mil per deal.

The Patriots do have a true #1 receiver in Dobson. He's a rookie and got injured. It happens..

Hernandez pulled the wool over the eyes of many people. How you can sit there and claim it was a "mistake" is beyond me. Especially when he was very productive when he was on the field.

I'm only parroting what is being reported as fact on NATIONAL TELEVISION, DaB...blame them

If that report of that torn ACL for Gronkowski is accurate, well, next man up.

Injuries are no excuse. Rob is an integral and vital player to this offense, but the show must still go on. They started 5-1 without him. They can still get it done, as long Brady is under center and Belichick is on the sidelines.

Sad news nonetheless.

Unfortunately, there is no man to be next man up. Hooman is hurt, and he certainly isn't a replacement for Gronk. I think without a doubt, TE HAS to be a focus of the offseason (FA or draft). I hate when people say injuries are no excuse, well guess what, when you lose Gronk, Wilfork, Mayo, etc, it sure as **** is an excuse. It just seems the Pats refuse to give up, but sooner or later the injuries catch up to you as a team.

Wow, what a sick comeback. Just amazing. I'm not making excuses, this team is just too wounded to go far in the playoffs, BUT, because this team just refuses to quit, the 2013 version of the Patriots will always go down as one of my favorite teams. Too many injuries, just reported Gronk has a torn ACL, too many major injuries, no team loses this many KEY players and wins it all. But all the respect in the world for the 2013 Pats, the team that refuses to give up.

You need to be reminded of the 2003 and 2004 seasons and all the injuries the Pats had then.

Vereen should be high on that list.

Brady completed passes to 10 guys today, but Vereen was his top target.

Vereen and Boyce give this offense some real explosion. Very pleased with both.

Edit: I think Talib lost some money today. He was pretty poor.

he is playing hurt

I was so excited to have a healthy Gronk for the playoffs. After the performances we've seen this year I guess we should never count our guys out of any game, but if they have any success this year it will be on that sheer will alone, the talent just isn't healthy.

I remember those years. Troy Brown playing CB for awhile and actually getting a couple INTs

But those years also had great front 7's. Something this team lacks

Stinger? More like a Charlie horse I mean the guy barely hit him.

he is playing hurt

So are most players this late in the year.

Talib is only as good as how much holding he's allowed to get away with. I don't expect a lot of people here to agree with me, but he is not worth a big contract.

Hmm.. Let's see. Mike Garafalo works for FOX. FOX wasn't broadcasting this game, so he wasn't in New England. Yet, he's going to scoop people like Mike Reiss, Chris Price or Jeff Howe? Reporters who have a much better standing and understanding of the Patriots.

The least you could do is use your brain before posting some sarcastic BS and making yourself look like a complete idiot.

I wish Sudfeld had stuck. Looked good in preseason and like the kid receivers started bad in the games. The kids who stuck look ok.

This is why I had no problem seeing Randy and Wes leave town. Brady was becoming over reliant on his security blankets, and was becoming painfully predictable.

While none of us saw this unbearable sequence of events unfolding, it has caused Brady to spread the ball around, and it sends he is developing chemistry with everyone.

O yeah, that pass to Devlin was awesome!

Hold up, Denver is down 21-10, if the Titans hold on aren't we the #1 seed? lol Quite the turnaround after how we were feeling when it was 19-3 Browns
