The OFFICIAL Patriots vs. Browns Post Game Thread

for everyone asking where Boyce was, and why boyce wasn't able to get on teh field.

He was there today. Kid looked really good.

Josh Gordon is a beast, straight up BEAST. its a shame he has substance abuse issues because hes got the skill and talent to be the best Wide receiver in the league, strong, fast, big, good hands. hes scary good, the browns as a whole are a QB away from contending so any kind of win over them is good, but todays win felt tainted, felt like a bunch of weird calls that jason cambel intentional grounding for instance.

Losing gronk hurts, bad.

Riddley just isnt a top tier back, when he has to put so much focus on not fumbling, hes essentially just going through the motions. Blount was impactful, and vereen was our best option today, and moving forward.

Devlin with that one handed grab up the sideline, was great.

This is the worst game I've ever seen. No, it was the best game I've ever seen.

I'm getting too old for this ******.

The Gronk thing is a mess.

Getting rid of Welker was a mistake. Not getting a true number one receiver was a mistake. Not recognizing that Hernandez was a thug was a mistake. But at this point it's all water under the bridge. We can only role with what we have and try to execute better early.

Again, I will not apologize for the win. The PI was ticky tack at the end but he did have his hand on Boyhce's shoulder while he was going for the ball. And Brady did have to drive the field for two TDs. The onside was also executed to perfection. Browns player failed to wrap up ball. Tough luck there. It happens.

10-3 baby.

Wasn't able to watch the game. Other than the Gronk injury, I'm pleased with the results - Pats win, Vareen did well as the flex on my FF team and I was playing against the Pats D (-4 pts).

I haven't seen the Pats play that badly in a while. All the drops (or as I like to call them now -"Welker's"), plus the bad calls from the refs; well, I was certain this was a loss.

I thought this from the first early whistle that recalled the fumble on the Browns first drive, to Gronk's injury, I was certain that this was a trap game that would end in defeat and tragedy. Somehow, I don't know how, they pulled a victory out.

Do they deserve it? I don't know. I know that I love this team and look forward to Sunday probably more than is healthy.

Will they go far in the Playoffs? Again, I don't know. I hope so, and I know I will cheer for them the entire time.

They deserved the win. They had to fight their butts off for it, they earned it.
If the Browns wanted to win they should have stopped them at the end of the game. It's a 60 minute game, not a 50 minute game.
Gronk's injury is the only downer. Makes me want to cry when I see the replay. Pats will move on and we fans will too. What else can they do? What else can we do?

Wow, what a sick comeback. Just amazing. I'm not making excuses, this team is just too wounded to go far in the playoffs, BUT, because this team just refuses to quit, the 2013 version of the Patriots will always go down as one of my favorite teams. Too many injuries, just reported Gronk has a torn ACL, too many major injuries, no team loses this many KEY players and wins it all. But all the respect in the world for the 2013 Pats, the team that refuses to give up.

edlemans numbers are better then welkers,

Nobody saw hernandez allegedly killing a bunch of people.

Vereen and Boyce give this offense some real explosion. Very pleased with both.

Edit: I think Talib lost some money today. He was pretty poor.

Can't even feel happy about this win because of Gronk injury.

Same here. We somehow find ways to win over and over again despite all the **** but that was the final straw - with Gronk out, we'll need a very big miracle to reach the SB. Just to think how good we would be with a healthy defence that carried us in the beginning of the season and Gronk, maybe the best non QT player in the league.. Devastating.

If that report of that torn ACL for Gronkowski is accurate, well, next man up.

Injuries are no excuse. Rob is an integral and vital player to this offense, but the show must still go on. They started 5-1 without him. They can still get it done, as long Brady is under center and Belichick is on the sidelines.

Sad news nonetheless.

This was another hard fought comeback win by the Pats. Glad to see them hang in there and not give up. Very heartbreaking to see Gronk go down.

Defenses the rest of the way are licking their chops without Gronk.

i can't explain how but they keep doing it. but they looked TERRIBLE doing it. if it weren't for bal-min, Cleveland would be the biggest chokers today.

team still has to play well for 60 min to do anything in the postseason, not 30 min or 15 min of a half. but at this point with all of the injuries, getting to the postseason is a real accomplishment and anything that happens after that is gravy.

Something that appears to have gone missing on most is the fact that Amendola caught the matching winning score. You go little guy. We're going to need you more than ever now.

Would be feeling alot better if Gronk wasn't hurt, but it's nice to get another miracle comeback.

Obviously anything is possible, but I think the only way we can really go far in the playoffs is to get Talib/Arrington back to what they were before their injuries and Dennard back, which I have no idea how likely or unlikely that will be in the next 4 weeks. Otherwise, secondary is average to bad and we are not very good against the run. Not going to go far with this defense the way it is.

If we are healthy defensively I wouldn't put it past this team to go all the way even without Gronk. Dobson will hopefully be back soon and he was just starting to break out. Edelman is a legit option and Vereen is a major weapon. KT and DA are wild cards, hopefully (likely) one will step up. If Ridley can run like early 2012 we have a good offense IMO.

On the plus side, this team is incredibly resilient and battle tested, we saw last year with Baltimore - a highly flawed team - is an important trait.

Patriots versus Brown postgame thread

Mods can make it 'official' whenever they want. In the meantime....

Whine and cry, cheer and laugh, or whatever else about the game, right here.

Nice to hear Boyce got some love today. Made some catches. IF we can get either of Dobson Thompkins back, that'll help big time. Devlin may have to learn the TE position in a hurry and I assume TE DJ Williams will be re-signed again after poor Gronk gets IR'd.

Re: Patriots versus Brown postgame thread

I like the win obviously but that hit on Gronk was brutal.

Gronk...torn ACL ...just over the Fox wire

It's not confirmed. It's what is being speculated. Only the MRI tomorrow will confirm it.

And since when would Mike Garafalo (who isn't even in New England) get a scoop like that? Color me skeptical that he got the news before others did..
