The Official Patriots Draft (Day 1) thread

Ugh.

Please no Gresham.

I think Belichick made this point last week -- but isn't it something how many top-rated players are coming off big injuries? So hard to judge. I guess I keep reminding myself that I'm happy to have, say, a Tom Brady a year after ACL injury. But it all sure adds to the boom-or-bust element in this draft.

OK surfers, for those of you into tab browsing, what'll you have open in your browser?

PatsFans obviously (though there seem to be two "official" draft threads going); Reiss blog; nfl.com tracker; .. what else?

Re: The Official Patriots Draft (day 1) thread.

Mike Holley says that the pats are drafting Dez Bryant, sounds sure about it. FTWW

I'll believe it when I see it. I find it hard to believe the Pats will go offense in round 1 and a guy with character red flags at that.

So I'm behind on all my draft study and I'll need to rely on you guys. What tight ends should I be keeping my eye on in the first round? :rocker:

Mike Mayock says Jerry Hughes.

oh ya the draft. stars now on the pats will be on the clock in about 3 hours lol

Here we go, the Rams are on the clock.....

Just think a year from now the Pats (thanks to Jamarcus) could be on the clock...

ok so is THIS the right thread? What time should we expect #22 to be on the clock around 9:30?

In a recent poll he i voted NO to Bryant, i want a pass rusher but Holley's point about Moss mentoring Bryant did make sense.

Patriots trade up to take Sam Bradford!

Hmm...NFL Network or ESPN for draft coverage...which do you prefer? Did I miss a thread on this? :bricks:

It looks like Bradford is on the phone with them....

Both have positives and negatives. I am leaning towards NFL Network. Hate Marshall Faulk and Michael Irvin. Not a huge Mooch fan, but Mike Mayock is the best analyst on either show.

look at the difference of color between ESPN and NFLN. The NFLN looks so much better.

He can now call up Stafford and ask him how he handles playing for a loser.

Dez wont fall to 22 but if he did I'd take him over any defensive prospect other than McClain, Suh and Berry.
