Cincy vs Georgia on right now. Georgia is a bit depleted but still tied at 7. Ridder has looked decent so far. Doesn’t look like the game or competition is too big for him. Georgia is starting to get some pressure up front, though. Cincy’s OL is good, but Georgia is the most athletic front they’ve faced so far. Let me tag our resident draft guru, @BaconGrundleCandy.

As much as I want ND to pull off the upset, I think Bama is going to slaughter them. I also see another tight game between Clemson and Ohio State that will likely be decided by turnovers.

Something to look forward to, this afternoon.

Jordan Davis just pulled a Talib after that FG block.

Noon ET on ESPN: #9 Georgia (7-2) vs #8 Cincinnati (9-0) in Atlanta for the Peach Bowl
A chance to see if a second tier conference undefeated team was worthy of consideration for the final four.
(Better solution: expand the playoffs to eight teams.)

1:00 ET on ABC: 6-4 Auburn vs #14 Northwestern (6-2) in Orlando for the Citrus Bowl
A chance for the SEC to beat their chests by having an unranked team beat a Big Ten division champion.

College Football Playoff Semifinals:
4:00 ET on ESPN: #4 Notre Dame (10-1) vs #1 Alabama (11-0) in Arlington TX for the Rose Bowl
A chance for the Fighting Irish to show they do deserve to be in the playoffs, despite their last game (down 34-3 until finally scoring a 4th quarter TD).

8:00 ET on ESPN: #2 Clemson (10-1) vs #3 Ohio State (6-0) in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl
A chance for the Buckeyes to shut Dabo Swinney up about his ranking OSU #11, and not deserving to be in the playoffs.

I already made one of these. Merge them immediately, n00b.

Alabama is a 20 pt favorite in my sportsbook I follow. They couldn't find a more even matched top 4 team, or is college football that top heavy?

They were 10-0 until the ACC Championship. IMO, they belong here even if they’re going to get curb stomped. The real gripe is putting Ohio State and their 6 total games in there, while getting crowbarred into the Big 10 championship via that conference changing the rules, instead of Texas A&M. Ideally, we should have had 8 playoff teams this season. With 8, I wouldn’t have as much of a gripe with OSU being in there. That would have allowed the committee the ability to include A&M and Cincinnati.

JT Daniels will probably got back to UGA to improve his draft stock, but if he decides to declare he could be an interesting pickup for the Pats. He's a 5 star recruit who has a big time arm and all the talent in the world. They could probably get him in the second round or even at the end of the third round.

College football has no parity lol. Recruiting has become war games and the big schools are US, China, Japan, Russia etc. Extremely top heavy.

Tried explaining this to another member (ring6) that defense matters more in college. It's not better but the top schools get all the talent. Whereas in the NFL it's more naturally spread out with the draft, FA, trades etc.

Nice pass. Bit too high but that's a great pass.

What an idiotic hit by Hudson after a great play by Ridder. @BaconGrundleCandy I can see why you’re high on him. The pocket presence he has is already very good. Keeps his eyes downfield as the pocket starts to collapse and uses his athleticism to find the open man.

I'm psyched. Have off today, tomorrow and most of Sunday. Loving lounging around and just watching ball with a little Afghan Purp and some good food.

Some really nice games on tap. I think Clemson's OL and secondary will be the difference but OSU isn't getting enough credit. Fields hasn't been impressive imo but that team is really good.

Actually most excited for the Oregon/ISU & UNC game. Lots of talent there.

Oh boy Ridder has made 3-4 really nice plays today.

By the way, am I the only one who sees Mahomes in Redbone Rattler? Forgot to ask this the other night but he reminds me a LOT of Mahomes when he was in college.

Yea he has to be more consistent but his flashes are pretty good. And plays like that are exactly why I like him. He's a bit of a project but after Lawrence everyone is to an extent.

You like Howell from UNC? I see a little Mayfield in his game. Haven't spent a ton of time bc eligibility but their games/style are kinda similar to me.

Cinci look pretty good

I see some Murray but then again some have said he's a smaller Mahomes. Rattler's game is fierce though. He'll be in that #1 overall convo for sure

Hoping for another ND humiliation & a Big Ten face plant
I’m hoping for the opposite, it predicting you’ll like what’ll take place today,..

Can't watch the game unfortunately..how is Jordan Davis performing?

Howell reminds me a lot of Mayfield. Definitely. A bit of a gunslinger mentality but competitive as hell and can make all the throws.
