Staying with 11-5 for now ... no reason to change with old man winter around the corner you never know. also ... if I'm wrong and I probably will be I will be very happy to be wrong.

What are you talking about? The Pats are perhaps the BEST team to benefit most from Winter and what comes with it.

I'll stay with 11-5 for now. That said I believe the floor is 10-6. Anything north of there is a bonus for where I thought this side would be at the start of the season.

First prediction

I'm going to go with 13-3, I can see us losing either to Green Bay or (unfortunately) to the Jets, but not both - I just don't think Bill would let that happen.

The others predicting 10-6, 11-5... really?

How do you figure that out? We're playing the 2-8 Buffalo Bills and a Miami team that will be out of playoff contention by the time we see them, missing Brandon Marshall and playing their 3rd string quarterback that got shut out last week so that's the probably the two easiest games in the league (excepting Carolina). Then we're playing Detroit, who earlier in the season might've been dangerous, but an upset is now VERY unlikely with Stafford out.

So whilst I'm hesitant to call those game's gimmes (you never know) it's highly unlikely that we lose those.

As for the remaining three... Bears in Chicago - COULD possibly be a challenging game if Jay Cutler gets hot - unlikely, but a bit more plausible so I'll give NE a loss at a push(if we want to be really pessimistic)... leaving GB and Jets at Foxboro which I admit will be challenging but games we should go in expecting to win.

So at the very worst I see a 12-4 season for us... if you want to assume a total disaster and the patriots collapse we could go .500 in the stretch.

Talks of 10-6 are just ridiculous, name the last time a Bill Bellichick coached team lost four out of six games... we're 25-2 after a loss since 2003 for gods sake.

It seems you are looking for any reason to be pessimistic.
If thats the case, and it makes you feel better to have low expectations, fine, but its kind of silly to think the team that went 8-2 vs the 10 teams they have played will go 2-4 against the 6 that are left.
I mean you do you realize that you are saying that you EXPECT that the Patriots will implode, totally fall apart and probably miss the playoffs after starting 8-2 right?

The Pats just beat TWO of the best teams in the entire NFL in back to back weeks and we still have people saying 10-6? (2-4 the rest of the way). Wow that's laughable. Pats also beat a real tough Ravens team earlier in the season on the way to 6-1. The only top team they haven't beat yet is the Jets and they have a good chance of doing that in a revenge matchup at home.

What's not to like about this team? Brady is clicking and the defense finds ways to win. This is a far cry from previous Pats teams that could not 'shut the door' in the 4th and could not get 'big road wins'. And I'm sorry 'they're young' is not a valid excuse. They aren't just young. They are young, fast and athletic. And they still have the potential to get better.

Just witness the 3 big picks this defense put up as well as Chung and Mayo dominating with their tackling. Colts had how many rushing yards against this defese? Just 70 on 20 caries for a 3.5 ypc. Peyton put up yards through the air but he also turned the ball over. And against an 'elite' qb like that, I'll take the win any day, particularly with a 'seal the deal' pick. The ceiling indicator for this Pats team is pointing straight up. They have beat the best the AFC has to offer and I don't even believe they've played their best football yet.

I think more than a few people should finally take a good look at their old predictions.

I think more than a few people should finally take a good look at their old predictions.

I got 10-6 and it's good to be wrong, I hope to be wrongerer in the near future...

i said 11-5 i may end up being wrong now and I`m happy I am.

hey didnt that guy rex ryans gut say were only gonna win 9 games?
guess were about to loose 5 straight

I just looked at all my predictions
pats 14-2 so far so good
jets 8-8 oh well can't be perfect
miami 7-9 not bad
bills 3-13 looking strong

Opoy- Brady in the running
DPoy Willis oops
Oroy Bradford clearly the front runner
Droy McCorty big showing today

If this was a contest i'd be rocking it

I am worrying about the Rookie wall factor

I have seen it before and hope I am wrong....week 13 is usually the time some rookies get winded

Lets hope they don't

Where's that rookie wall factor now?
Are you still sticking with 10-6 and predicting that the Pats will go 1-4 for the rest of the season?
Just FYI but Brady, Branch, and Welker ain't no rookies and McCourty, an actual rookie is playing outstanding. Just keeping you updated on how terrible your predictions are looking now.

After the Pats started off 6-1, I went on the record to say that we're looking at a minimum of a 12-4 team. Now it looks like I made the right call. ^_^ Any doubters still want to badmouth our team some more before our record *gasp* gets any better?

Still sticking with 12-4.

Didn't you know? Their last two games in the snow they eked out victories by a combined margin of 106-7.

I am happy with my prediction... i think 11-5 was my middle with 12-4 being my optimistic. Team has probably out performed that but i still think it was a pretty solid

I'll keep it at 12-4, because I have a weird feeling that the last game of the season will probably be a resting day for the Pats starters. 13-3 with full effort.

I said 17-2 and I staying with it.

We probably will be able to rest on our last game but that is not the Pats style. Especially at home. Bill will give the home crowd a show against the suffering Phins. Shouldn't take much to win that and we can pull the starters in the 3rd.

We've still got the Jets, Packers, Dolphins @ Foxboro and Chicago, Buffalo away. Given the rise of the Bills there's not one easy game left.

Good point about being at home. I had visions of the Texans game from last year, but your point is definitely a good one.

I'm definitely open to the idea of saying 13-3, and I think it hinges on the Packers game. I'm definitely glad it's in the friendly confines of the Razor.

EDIT - I'm definitely sure that I used the word "definitely" a lot in this post.
