I guess you can read that (1) in line with BB's history suggesting that compliments shortly precede adverse player actions or (2) a statement offered in favor of am expansive drug testing program that includes coaches as well as players. Also, the "definitely improving" may simply suggest no passes were completed in the week of practice prior to the game.
