I predict a weak return on the trade, given that they made the deal 3 picks in advance. That's not a multiple bidders/hot commodity setup.

But it sets up a very interesting day 2.. even with trading back up we might end up with 3-4 picks in R2/R3..

Or the Texans gave up a lot. Why make the trade three picks in advance unless you got a lot in return and you don't think someone won't get desperate the last minute and overpay while the Pats are on the clock. \

I was playing around with a scenario earlier where the Patriots traded with the Texans taking their 2nd (51), 3rd (82) and 5th (175)round picks. The picks are evenly spaced and a minor tradeup or down is easily achievable.

Let's wait and see what the compensation is? Or if it even happens?
