Resides right here in New England. Warren has not played well since his contract year (2006). Teams are running right at him with success. Let's stop saying they're the best Dline in football. Right now they're the most overrated.

It was one game.

What a difference a week makes...

No excuse for playing soft, even for one game.

Still a good d-line, it seems like basically the whole team took a week off one week early.

So if the Lions win 49-0 next week that makes them the best team in the NFL then, correct?

last two games were awesome on the defensive front. wether or not this is just a fart remains to be seen. if they do this crap coming off the bye, THEN we got problems.

No doubt. I can't believe the rationale of some of the people around here.I'll still pick this D-Line over most in the NFL and will save judgment on Cassell until he's had a chance to start 6 games.

today they got no pressure on the qb.

terrible game today, we'll see next game

Ty Warren was one of the best D lineman in the league last year, go watch those games again. It was Seymour who was limited last year.

Exactly, it was only one bad game. Ty Warren was a beast last year, he was arguably a Pro Bowler last year.

The entire defense was bad today. Pathetic tackling, especially on one of Brown's rushing TDs. I'm not sure who it was, but it looked like he didn't even try to knock down Brown.

I'd like to see John Lynch signed.

no one outside of NE has been saying we have best dline in football. and you know why? we clearly don't.

I think you are referring to Deltha O'Neal's poor attempt at tackling Brown low.

Not only that! Belichick is the most overrated Head Coach in football. Forget what he has accomplished over the last seven years. He was totally outclassed today. The past seven years were a mirage. The real Belichick was exposed today.

We played against the weaker Little League teams, which doesn't actually count.

We played against the top flight Little League Team today, and got pushed around like little biotches.....

It had better get alot better than this, or we're in trouble.

Just seems like the team has lost heart. Especially the defense.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Are we watching the same game? Teams run at the side opposite Warren, where Green/Seymour play. When they run at him, it's usually a very short gain at best.

You'll notice none of today's TDs were at Warren's side. In fact, most were the result of runs outside on the options - the purview of the defensive backs and linebackers, who didn't make tackles in space.

One thing I noticed about coverage is that the schemes were ill-formed to contain the Dolphins coverage. Half the time they'd have 4 receivers on the field (or 3 with Ronnie Brown - who has great hands - lined up wide) yet the Patriots would only have 3 defensive backs playing with them and a safety over the top. They split the intermediate zones alot.

The team was out-coached today. The defense's struggles also had a lot to do with the offense's complete inability to move the ball. Ellis Hobbs was responsible for more yardage than Cassel.
