Forgive me for probably repeating what has been stated elsewhere in this thread but the best thing, by far, about the Jets inevitable sucking this season is that the expectations of Jets fans are so damned high.

This fan base has ALWAYS been super conservative and negative. Like Mets fans, their unwillingness to dive in full bore is epic.

This year, it's all different. They're all so positive, almost giddy, about their inevitable rings.

Seeing them deal with the Same Old Jets thing is going to be ridiculously fun for this NY area based Pats fan.

Good looking out. But yeah, I'm just having fun. These guys are feisty and I'm enjoying it. There's no real hard feelings. This is the only thread I get in to it with them because well, it seems to be the thing to do here. Props to the mods here. I'm playing the "you guys are jerks" card right now. I'll switch it up here soon but for now it's been very entertaining. BTW, a thread this size probably needs its own MOD. I vote for Tuney. He's the most consistent "Jets Suck" guy on here and represents the forum admirably.

Let's see, since 91 that would be 17 years of misery, 2 years of wishful thinking and one year of hope (that would be last year).

This years not in the books yet but if we make it to the playoffs, I'll be estatic. It's been forever since we did that back to back. My measure of success is a lot less complicated than yours I'm sure

Yeah, well I wouldn't blame them if I was them. When you're always the talk of the town and then all of a sudden you're not, it's put up or shut up time. Fair play to them if they win, but if they don't, it was still only a preseason game and I'm not judging any of them on wins and losses.

Your late 90s teams were much better all around teams who had a much closer shot at winning in '98 than any other team has had since '68 and you use last year's team as y our "hope" year?
