The Jeff Howe Interview On Patriots Fourth And Two

Interesting bit on Markell Carter. That may well be the reason for the tepid offseason communications between Andre Carter and the Front Office. The Patriots may figure that Markell Carter's development, combined with the strength of the impending draft class may easily overcome the loss of Andre Carter and Mark Anderson. Whatever works...

The Jeff Howe Interview On Patriots Fourth And Two
By: Russ Goldman

Here is the interview with Jeff Howe from NESN....

I was listening to this last night and nodding in agreement with the thoughts on Markell Carter. I have felt for a while that the Pats most likely are very high on him even though he spent the entire season the Practice Squad; if I recall correctly he was named the practice player of the week six times, and was given a raise that was nearly equal to the rookie minimum is, about quadruple the practice squad minimum salary. It just seems to me that the Pats coaching staff must be something that they really like, and with a full year of OTAs (don't forget he had no off-season coaching last year due to the lockout) there's a good chance he could contribute this upcoming season.

Great interview. What I like about Jeff is that he has long answers to questions.

Thanks for posting.

Another thing I like about Howe is that he doesn't seem to have any hidden agendas, at least not to this point. He's really fair, in my opinion.
