but who would you rather face?

Ah man, it feels too early to be talking with Jaguars fans.

Re: The Jags {fans} WANT New England (merged)

Well at least you're trying to be realistic. I don't think the Pats will comply by giving you that close a game to watch. Not to be rude, but this year the only team that has a chance of challenging the Pats is the Colts. And ultimately the Colts will still lose. It's just that kind of year. 16-0, in case you haven't heard.

Hey Pats fans, Jag fan here, and I have no intentions of trash talking.

I honestly don't see us (Jaguars) winning this game, though I feel it will be a close one.

Yes, the Jags struggled mightily against the Steelers in the 4th, but we found a way to pull out the W when the game was on the line.

David Garrard had a bad game, save for the 4th and 2. I don't expect him to have another one of these, as I expect the running game to bounce back this week; this opens up the passing game and helps Garrard out plenty.

The reason I think we'll lose this game is simple: Our secondary.

It has been a rollercoaster year for our DBs and going up against the hottest passing offense in the modern era is not encouraging. Our DBs (Mathis) bite very easily, and, while extremely athletic, Reggie Nelson still makes a boneheaded play every now and then (which is expected -- he's a rook with a bright future).

I'll say:

Patriots: 30
Jaguars: 24

The only way I see the Jaguars winning this game is if we win the battle of the trenches, and our pass-rush becomes a factor. We need to get to Brady and rattle him.

Well, just thought I'd say good luck next week. It should be a great one.

If I was a Jags fan I would oddly enough rather face the Pats than the Colts.

The Colts have had their number.

I strongly disagree in that one fan's assumption that Brady and the Pats will cave to the pressure. Not a chance.

PS The Jags certainly don't play like a team from Florida. They are some tough dudes.

I love this quote

"I'd go with the pats. I think that if the jags can go into the 4th quarter tied or in the lead you'll see the pats crumble and make a mistake. I know that seems crazy to say but they HAVE to win the SB after going 16-0. That will increase the pressure on them 100-fold. That kind of pressure will get to them."

:singing: Yeah, cuz we've been doing that all season long. Have these guys even watched us this year. Obviously, their fear of the Colts is all-consuming and prevents them from seeing the forest through the trees.

Be careful what you wish for Jax.

You can't take a quote from one POSTER and hold it to represent all of Jacksonville. Watch the post game interviews. When the Jags were asked where they want to go next weekend they all say it doesn't matter. We're here to play football!

I know, I know, the Jags are the perfect team to beat the Patriots, and the Pats struggle against the run, and this is where the Patriots win streak can end. We hear the talk.

So coming into the playoffs it has been said ad nauseum that the Jags and the Colts are the two teams that can beat the Patriots. Well, those look to be the two teams the Patriots will end up playing so bring it.

The Jags are not the defensive team that they were with Grant and Darius in the defensive backfield. Brady and Co. will be able to spread them out, and do quite nicely.

A key to the Pats run defense will be Seymour and he's been playing better and better every week.

Pats are at home. Pats are healthy. BB had an extra week to prepare.

Trust me, the Jags fans NO NOT want to play the Patriots. They can say that they do, now that they have to do so, but they don't.
