The "Dewey Defeats Truman" Boston Globe Edition

Field Yates ?@FieldYates 57m57 minutes ago

Family friends in Naples, FL had this delivered to their house this morning. The perils of early edition newspapers.

Field Yates just posted this a few minutes ago:

Imagine if they went to bed early and hadn't turned on the TV/Radio yet

They should hang onto it. Maybe it will be worth something?

Was Shaughnessy involved ??

I knew without looking that it'd be the Globe that screwed up.

Every early-deadline out of town edition of a paper had to do the same, they aren't able to hold the presses past a certain point.

The New England edition of the NY Times has a hilarious last-minute compromise: a front-page photo of Brady being sacked, with a caption, obviously swapped out in haste, saying "Patriots victorious."

You knew someone was going to do it. There was so much smack talk online

Boston Globe Early Edition Says Falcons Won

Hahaha, I just find this too funny! The Early edition of the Boston Globe was printed saying the Patriots lost and people in Florida actually received it.

I have no clue how to post a tweet so here is a link to a story I found about it.
Boston Globe Early Edition Shows Patriots Lost To Falcons

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was.

Maybe Shaughnessey can autograph it.

Written by Steve Harvey.

Edit. Xlix beat me to it.

Came across this gem on Fox sports.

'The Atlanta Falcons earned the final spot in the first round thanks to their victory in Super Bowl LI. While the Falcons have never been in this spot before, they certainly don’t mind capping the first round. New England will pick at No. 31, as its incredible 2016 regular season and playoff run enabled it to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl."

I was 5 when the Dewey Defeats Truman paper came out...

"At the time of this paper's printing, the game wasn't over yet. But here's what we're guessing."

Looks like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution let a premature edition slip through too:
