Sometimes, developmental players are on the 53 (especially 2nd to 4th round draft picks). We seem to want to carry 9 DB's.

25 - DEFENSE
4 - DT
4 - EDGE
3 - ILB
3 - backup front seven or additional special teamers
5 - CB
4 - S
2 - ST (Ebner and King)
