The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

I think 8 rings have nothing, literally nothing to do with Bill's ability to coach in 2025 at the age of 73.

As I pointed out earlier in the thread, Aaron Rodgers has 4 MVPs. Drake Maye has 0. Are interested in a straight up trade?
I disagree no one has that many he's forgot more about football than anyone else coaching right now.

And no player has more rings than Tom Brady. That doesn't mean he'd still be a top QB if he decided to come back when he's 55.

Dude, it's very obvious that Belichick has lost his fastball. It's like we're watching Nolan Ryan top out at 87 mph and you keep proclaiming he's throwing as fast as ever.

You don't think 8 rings is a lot of rings?
If they were all as a HC, you are literally the only person pretending those are 8 equal rings. And no, the discussion is that right now he's a disaster and he's reminding everyone of the guy he was in Cleveland.

He' forgotten too much then because he legitimately having a crash out that is going down as the worst ever tenure in college football history. This is essentially the college version of Urban Meyers on the Jaguars. Anybody who actually gives a single **** about his legacy should be hoping he gets out of this as gracefully as possible.

Sometimes I'm discussing how many haters there are the discussion changes all the time.

Bill himself would tell you that yesterday's performance has no bearing on your current evaluation.
Good so you agree given time to get things right he will

I wouldn't bet against Brady

Ok, I'll ask one last question, and it's a very simple yes or no answer.

When it comes to coaching a system, building a staff and bringing in players, is Belichick in the last 5 years doing as good a job as he did in the previous 20?

I was listening to a college football show on SIRIUS today, Bill spent last night calling recruits telling them that he isn’t going anywhere.

Bill would have won a SB last year with Drake

SBB I apologize if you have given your opinion on the subject.

What did you think when Bill was hired as UNC head coach?
How did you think he would do at UNC?
How do you think he’s doing so far?

Just wanted to know if you had any thoughts on the subject since it is the Bill head coach of UNC thread, oh also his Barbie doll.

Before you start typing Hater, Hater, Hater and pasting pictures of Bills rings, I’ve always said Bills and Tom were a match made in heaven and there successes were tied to each other, I thought their statues should’ve been revealed at the same time.

I was excited to see what he could do in college. I don't really follow college other than the playoffs so I figured it be fun to adopt a team. I didn't really have any expectations since UNC isn't exactly a football factory. I figured he'd do better than this and I still think if given a real chance he'll get them playing better.

He needs to find away to quiet all the noise, tell his Barbie doll to stay away and to shut up, tell Lombardi to shut up except when talking to recruits. There is too much attention for the wrong reasons on the program.

In today’s college football environment it is a very short leash because boosters do not have a lot of patience especially in the transfer portal era.

Yes it’s his first season but boosters see what happened at Indiana ( not a good football program) last season with a first year head coach ( Curt Cignetti) who came from James Madison and led Indiana to the college football playoff.

Bill signed 70 players from the transfer portal which is a lot especially to get them to come together but Mississippi State signed 70 players this offseason, they are 4-2 and play in the SEC.

Also I’m sure the boosters weren’t thrilled when they heard Bill spent some of his bye week on Nantucket instead of trying to correct all issues the football team has.

That's not what I said. Try reading my post again. Maybe sound it out if that helps your reading comprehension.

If you're UNC I think you have to double down on your investment and try to pay for as much talent as you can get. I just don't know enough about college and portals and all to know if that will be enough to turn it around. I think if they do spend then Bill will get things going better though.
